Oliver went to Clare's house. They started kissing. Oliver helped Clare with her homework and Clare helped him with his. By the time they were done, it was 8:30 pm. They both started getting ready to go to the movies.  On the way to the movies, they see that a man is sitting in the middle of the street and stop to see if they're ok. The man's name was Jack. It turned out that someone had murdered his girlfriend. They decided to help figure out who did it and why. As of right now, the only clue they had was her phone and some of her belongings. Oliver knew what to do, so he took her belongings to his lab and tested them. He used fingerprint powder to get somewhat of an idea of who did it. Then he put the information into the database to find out who was the last person to touch her phone. The database said it was a guy named Alex. Police are currently looking for him because he sexually abused a little girl. No one knew why he was doing these things. Oliver also found out where he lives, his phone number, and everything else about him. According to the database, he was in jail once before because he stabbed a 14 year old girl 69 times because she wouldn't take off her clothes when he told her to. Clare was starting to get scared of what people were doing these days. She got on Oli so that she would feel safe. Oliver worked out every day for as long as he can if he had nothing to do at that time.  Oli kissed Clare and then got back to work right away. He loved her and would keep her safe no matter what. Jack was happy that they could help, but he knew that he was hiding the most important piece of information from them. He knew where Alex was going. " Hey, I know where Alex is going. He told me he was going to California for a vacation. Oliver set-up a trip to go to California so that he could hunt Alex down. Clare didn't want Oliver to leave her here so, he brought her with him and searched for Alex. They both knew what he looked like, what kind of car he drove, and what his license plate said. Clare started crying because she didn't feel safe anymore. Oliver told her to be quiet and he would buy her some ice cream. She stopped crying and told Oliver that she was scared. Oliver said that he knew why she was crying but if she didn't want to die, she needed to be quiet because they were entering a very dangerous place. Clare got even more scared and told him that she didn't want to be here. Clare didn't trust Oliver doing this. She thought that it was a stupid idea. Oliver could tell that she was starting not to trust him so he turned around and got them ice cream. He loved her and wanted her to trust him. He wanted Clare to trust him in the same way he trusted her. Oliver would not stop this case until he got Alex in jail for what he did. Everyone around the country was looking out for him, which made it a lot easier for them. Clare wanted to help him but she was scared.
