If I could, I would make sure you would never go hungry or thirsty

If I could, I would make it so you can come in and out of the comfort of our home whenever you like

If I could, I would be able to see and talk to you whenever you want me to

But, sadly, it is not up to me

For I am under their control too

So, we will both be ignored

We will we both be misunderstood

I will be trapped in this room that has become my cage

I will be mocked and shamed while you watch unable to help

But I will always wish to make things better for you if I could.
