I sigh as the waves brush against the sides of the ship, it was a hot day and since there were no lower decks or covers and since the boat moved ever so slowly, that meant that the heat would stay for even longer. If I don’t die from sea storms, then I’ll die from heat stroke. I look at my flyer for a minute, it says that I was nearly there.
We passed by a what seemed to be abandoned island with enormous mountains, the other people on the boat called it Asymchoritos. The unforgivable island, but what I heard was chips. My stomach growled as I thought of eating at one of those fast food restaurants back in Japan, ah how I miss Japan so much.
Then one of the sailors handed me a plate of food, on the plate however… Is not really what I would call food, it was more like raw seagull wrapped in some salmon and backed under the sun for a couple hours. I forcefully chugged the food down my throat since I needed to do so to survive, then the navigator told us that we have reached Exiliosa.
I turn around and see an island, with one giant mountain in the middle. I look at my flyer only to see that it has changed yet again to what looks like a map of Exiliosa, at least that’s what the navigator said once I showed it to him. They anchored the boat while me and a few other sailors unload the ship, which took us more or less an hour.
The navigator insisted me to take the 200 chrimata-otane or Co for short. He said that it was the currency in Vydelygma, I take money as soon as I see the word free before it. I wave him goodbye and ride my horse into the nearby village, while strolling in the village I decided to buy some armor to defend myself in case another “incident” happens.
The chest plate I bought ended up using all of my Co, so basically I was broke again. I went to the shore to get some water and I kicked a couple apple trees to get some food, after replenishing my fatigue I start looking for this tower that the flower shop person told me about. I asked the merchants, the villagers and even the guards yet none of them knew about it.
That’s when I stumbled across a small little store that sold drinks, I went inside and asked if they knew any towers around here to which they replied with a yes. After discussing its location and the quickest way to go there I turned around to leave, but I bumped into a woman. I apologized along with bowing, the bowing caught the attention of most if not all the costumers.
She told me it was fine and she just left the store, I scratched my head along with a sigh of relief. I look around the store and see a Bulletin board filled with quests, I walked up to it and saw leveling quests. This was perfect if I wanted to level up… or down quickly! I read the terms and conditions and then I saw the “Party system”.
It means that I need a party of at least 3 different people to do a quest, which means that I have to meet two other beings just to do a quest. I decide to deal with that later and exit the store, I start heading in the direction which was supposed to lead me to the tower. After a few minutes I saw the tip of the tower above the trees, as I got closer the tower resembled a medieval wizard tower.
Then when I reached the tower, I see a large crowd of people gathered under it. The flower shop person was standing on the porch of the tower talking to everyone, I waited for other people to come in so I didn’t stand out when I walked into the crowd. They seemed to be discussing what happened in Gi and how to prevent more city casualties.
