The next morning, we met at the tower. We started developing a strategy based on what boss monster we might encounter, after a couple hours we made over 30 strategies for 30 different boss monsters. We then head to the designated area, not too far from one of the villages. Atop a mountain was the boss field which is where we were headed.

Yui was quiet as usual and Apollo was boasting his new armor, I on the other hand put my money to good use and bought books- I regret doing that… We began climbing the mountain and we soon reached the top, there were no monsters to be seen. I told everyone to stay back first, but Apollo was sure there were no monsters and went to the middle of the field.

“See? Perfectly safe!” said Apollo as he jumped up and down.

Then the ground started shaking, and Apollo stumbled. The ground split in half to reveal a hollow mountain filled with countless monsters, Apollo screamed as he fell in. Yui used her magic to pull him out of there and I scold him afterwards. I look down at the hollow mountain for a minute, on the map this mountain is the origin of a river…

I tell Apollo and Yui to look for water around the cracks, sure enough we do find some. Two reservoirs on both sides of the mountain, I proposed the idea to break the walls of the reservoir to result a flood. We split up, me and Apollo head to the right reservoir and Yui goes to the left reservoir. We had to do this quickly, the monsters were climbing up the walls.

Once me and Apollo reached the reservoir, we start breaking the wall. Halfway through, a monster grabs Apollo by the leg and starts dragging him down. I grab Apollo before he let go of the cliff, I yell for Yui to burn the monsters asap. Meanwhile, I was starting to get dragged down to. Then a fiery explosion makes a grand entrance on the bottom of the mountain.

The monster who was holding unto Apollo let go since it was burnt too, I pull Apollo back up the cliff and we continue breaking the reservoir. Yui was about done and was waiting for my signal, once Apollo was sure it was about to break I signal both of them to bring the walls down. Apollo punches the wall and the water floods out, Yui threw the wall down using magic and the water came gushing out.

The monsters had definitely suffered burns from Yui’s attack, water would just increase their suffering. We regroup at the top and prepare to float down to finish off the monsters, once we reached the bottom me and Apollo dealt the finishing moves. Overall we killed at least 30 monsters, I have no idea which ones were bosses though…

Yui ran out of energy and was too tired to walk so Apollo carried her, we climbed the mountain and once we reached the very top it closed the opening. We went back to the store and claimed the reward, in total we got 1,000 Co. Apollo told me that this quest was good, Yui fell asleep and Apollo brought her to her inn.

Me and Apollo talked about what quest to take next, there were a lot to choose from; Babysitting, Clearing, Assassinations and Captures… But the one that I chose was an item quest, since not only could we level up/down, but we could also collect weapons or artifacts from monsters during these types of quests.

We head home and I lay down on my bed, this world is great. I wondered what happened to the war…
