The van dropped us off to school. I got out out the van and stared up at the building, sighing since we have double math periods. As I entered, I was walking through the the corridor. There was a small wall separating the corridor and the playground, I looked around and saw the giant red bow. I grinned when I realized who that was. But that grin soon turned into a scowl when I saw her talking to Allan. I ran up the stairs faster than Usain Bolt, worrying I might trip and break a bone or two. I threw my bag against the wall and slid down the stair rail but ended up getting stuck since our school pants weren't the ideal pants to slide on stair rail. I looked around hoping no one saw that but saw a guy trying to hide his laugh. I glared at him with a embarrassed smile and continued to run down the stairs. When I saw Jodine, I jumped on her.
" Whatcha talkin about without me. Damn I'm hurt, I thought we were friends." I looked at him, my eyes signaling for him to leave. For a second I thought he had the emotion of hurt in his eyes but I brushed it off as my imagination. He looked up and said,
"Uhhhh I'm going to leave. Uhh I think the guys are calling me." I looked at him with a roll of my eyes. He went away with his head hanging down a bit.
"That was a bit rude don't ya think?" She said with one of her eyebrow arched.
"If you can arch your fine eyebrow doesn't mean you should because I can't." Her mean face converted into a smile making me smile as well but her smile didn't reach to her eyes. I instantly knew something was wrong.
"What's wrong?" I asked with concern in my eyes. She sighed and looked at me with tears forming in her eyes and said,
"I feel like someone is following me, studying my every move but whenever I look around nobody is there. Even Kesh stated getting the chills." Shoot. My smile instantly dropped. Guilt started rushing through me like waves crashing. Now my best friend is going to be in danger. Worst her sister, Kesha is getting the vibes. I covered my change of expression by saying.
"You're watching too much anime, have some rest. You might be hallucinating." I gave her a unsure grin trying to convince her while failing miserably.
