I land on my feet while Blaze landed on his side once again.

"You have got to cut that out little bro" Blaze says standing up and dusting all the dirt on himself off.

"I'll stop if you stop calling me little bro, lil bro, or little brother" I say with a smirk on my face.

"Whatever, anyways I already know what you are going to ask. I have the papers for us ready to go, your name is under Cien Booker, like usual and I am under Lace Booker. We start on the following Monday, not tomorrow." Blaze says handing over the papers for transfer.

"What do you mean by 'we' Blaze? There is no 'we' in this" I say tilting my head to the side and crossing my arms waiting for an answer.

"I am not letting my little brother go in on his own because of how stupid our family is. I am the only one qualified to go anyway. Lyda graduated school, the two little ones are still to little, and I am pretty sure that the two old men can't go to high school meant for killers." Joshua explains to me

"This tournament is not a game Blaze. In video games, you can play over and over again with numerous lives. Well guess what, it's not the same in reality, you have one life and once you use it up you're as good as dead and no one will care, you will become nothing." I try to explain to him

"I DON'T CARE RAVEN!"

Blaze walks up to me and grabs me by my shoulders shaking me.

"I am not letting you in there alone! Our family is going to join that tournament with you, whether you like it or not!" Blaze says to me with eyes full of anger.

I look down for a minute thinking about what to say next. While thinking I had a flashback about our mother. Lying in a pile of her blood she had a knife in one hand and her wrist was slit. I lift my head back up looking Blaze straight into his eyes.

"I don't care if you join the school....” I look up at Blaze stright in his eyes.

“But I do promise you that I will not let any of you join the tournament." I shake Blaze's hand off me and walk away.

(Blaze's POV)

"That stubborn brother of mine is such a pain in the butt." I scratch the back of my head watching Raven walk off.

"I told you he would do that" I turn to see Lyda walking up behind me.

"I know he would but I wanted to let him know that we do care about him even if he hates us" I reply

"You know Blaze, Raven, even though he doesn't show it to often he does love us. He loves us enough to refuse us joining this tournament and that's a fact." Lyda taps me on the shoulder and jumps back over the gate.

"I know that...." I whisper to myself
