"What do you want old man?" I ask looking up at the roof in irritation.

"Have you really forgotten how to greet somebody?" My father says in an angry tone staring down at me. He was trying to intimidate me so that I would listen to him.

I look at him straight in his eyes.

Smirking at my father I stand up and say "Hello Old man what brings an unwelcome person into MY household?"

"You know my son, I believe that I had taught you better than this." Father answers

"And I believed that I was going to live a normal life. I guess the feeling is mutual old man" I answer back angrily

After saying that to my father I see Joshua awkwardly standing in the middle of us not knowing what he should do. I grab his hand and pull him over to my side.

"Just tell me what you came here for and leave." I tell my Father

"Me and the kids are making dinner tonight come over"

Father had a tone in his voice which made me understand why he was the one coming to my house. He needed something from me.

I smile and answer saying "Let’s bring Joshua with us. He was just talking about wanting to meet you all formally"

My Father turns around facing his back towards us.

"Do what you want"

As soon as my Father walks out the front door I turn to face Joshua. He was staring straight down at our hands. Realizing that I was still gripping onto his hand I pull it away.

"Sorry...... It's just my Father is the second person I can't stand in my family."

"I can tell" Joshua answers

"It's only noon what do you want to do till it's time to leave." I ask Joshua as I sit back down on the couch

"How's about some video games and a story about life?" Joshua answers turning on the T.V.

I smile

"You're on!" I say as I sit up to reach for a controller

As we play video games Joshua tells me small details about his life, like his little sister, Mother, Father. But one thing that bothers me is that he wasn't telling me any of his childhood memories. He was only sharing things that he did since the summer before school started.

"Hey, Joshua what was your childhood life like?" I ask him

Joshua doesn't reply he just continues playing the game as if he didn't hear me. I figured it was ok that he didn't hear me If he doesn't want to tell me then that’s okay. Besides I'm pretty sure that his childhood wouldn't be as bad as mine was.

Hours pass and finally it was time for me and Joshua to head over to the house.
