“I don’t care! You will pay for taking my child away from me!” Diana screamed.
“But how can you? When you’re already dead. Suddenly Diana fell to the ground with a wound that caused her body to give away.
“Diana!” shouted Marcus.
“You’re next.”
“Run!” shouted Jake. Everyone dashed out of the kitchen and ran for their lives. The Knight quickly chased after them, he seemed fast, too fast. Perhaps he spoke the truth of him being not human. Before long the knight caught up to them and ended the life of Marcus. Emily cried for her father, but as the knight was about to kill Emily, Jake quickly stepped in.
“Wait!” The knight stopped his blade.
“Why do you have to kill her? She’s just a child!” Jake yelled.
“Who can grow up to be a selfish greedy person,” the knight replied.
“But what if she doesn’t?”
“Just what are you implying?”
“I am implying, that if you let Emily live, I will raise her to be a good person.”
“And if you don’t?”
“Then you kill me.”
“Jake, no!”
“Trust me, Luke. I know what I’m doing.”
“Do we have an agreement?” The knight was silent for a moment, for he had never seen a human like this before.
“Very well, if you can raise her to be a woman of pure heart than her life will be spared.”
“If that’s the case then I will be there to help you, my friend,” Luke said standing next to his friend.
“Luke, no, this is my problem. And it does not concern you.”
“Yes, it does! We have been friends for so long, and it would not be right for me to allow you to suffer this alone.”
Rhapsody held her hand to her heart and clenched it in a fist. “Luke is correct. But I will endure this as well. After all, she will need a mother, and I believe I can provide that for her.”
The Knight merely looked at them until he came to a decision.
“Very well. The three of you will raise her to be a woman of pure heart, but if she does not I will take your lives in exchange for hers. Understand?”
“Yes.” The three replied.
“So let it be written, so let it be done.” With those final words the knight disappeared into the night without a sound.
