My voice is hers.

"It must be cruel, only to be kind."

"It must be cruel, only to be kind."

May 31, 2018

The water was dripping down the hood of my black coat. Even though it was April the whether in Innsbruck was quite rainy. I looked at the many people waiting for the train wondering whether I will find a seat on the train today. A smile appeared on my face as the song November Rain by Guns N' Roses started playing. I like their music almost as much as Nirvanas. I looked down on the floor while slightly tapping my foot in the rhythm of the music. I closed my eyes for a second and took in the rather cold air. I shouldn't have stayed up late reading again. I won't be able to focus on the classes again. Just thinking about it made my motivation sink from 0 to well -100. My thoughts were interrupted by a low rumble from which i knew that the train was arriving. I looked at my reflection in the passing trains windows and realized i wasn't exactly looking my best today. Ok... I was looking like hell. I didn't have time to put make up on and my brown hair was flattened by the rain. Once again I realized how much more I like my hair shorter. My hair used to be mid back length but I decided it was time for a change so I cut it. Now it barely touches my shoulders. I was wearing dark blue mum jeans and one could see the ending of the fishnet tights at my waist. I paired the jeans with a grey crop top on which the inscription Def Leppard was seen and of course I was wearing my favorite shoes, the black Doc martens. I would hardly ever wear different shoes. The train slowed down and everyone started to hustle. When I stepped into the train there were no seats left. I sighed at the thought of having to stand the whole time. Just about as the doors were about to close I saw someone running up to the train. I quickly put my hand between the closing doors and they opened again. The girl quickly stepped in and gave me a big thankful smile. She was rather curvy and not very tall. Her blond shoulder long locks framed her face perfectly. She had big grey-blue eyes and long black eyelashes. She was wearing a knee-long summer dress which was only half way zipped up and for which it was way to cold. She must have been very cold since she didn't seem to have anything to cover herself up. She was breathing heavily and her face was all red. She tried to zip up her dress numerous times but failed. I realized the guy next to me lingering at her bare back. I walked between them and blocked his sight at her. She flinched as my cold fingers touched her bare skin and she abruptly turned to me. She looked at me surprised.

"Let me help you with the dress." I said.

For a moment she looked at me even more surprised than before but nodded and turned her back to me. I put her hair to the side and zipped up her dress. She turned back to me and gave me a smile. It was a rather embarrassed smile but still very cute. She didn't say anything which i found quite rude but I guess the smile will do as a thank you. The rest of the train ride I spent listening to music and glancing over to the cute girl. When she coughed me staring she would look down on the ground embarrassed and put a strand of her hair behind her ear. Then she would glance over to me for a short moment before quickly looking away again. I realized that she was trembling a little. She must have been cold the whole time. But seriously who would wear a summer dress when it's 15 degrees outside. I suddenly remembered that I packed a pullover in case I was cold. Without thinking I opened my bag and pulled out a black pullover. I took a step towards her and she looked up to me.

"I realized you were cold, here."

Just about as I was to hand her the Pullover they announced the station I had to get out on. The doors were already opening so I quickly put the pullover in her hands. I smiled at her before going out the train. The doors closed behind me and the train drove away.

"Give every man thy ear, but few thy voice.". -William Shakespeare

Dear Sir Shakespeare, this may be true, though she deserves thy voice even more than you.
