"Ugh this is the worst..." I never confessed before, I couldn't bring myself to ask Eri that question yesterday, it's too embarrassing. I scan the crowd then spot Rinka. "Oi Rinka!" Rinka turned around then smiled.

"Oh Yoru! This is the first time you call out for me, it's always me who call out for you." Rinka said then I avert my gaze.

"W-Well we're friends, aren't we?" I said then she giggled.

"Yes we are!" Rinka said with the brightest smile, I smile back then we both walked side-by-side. "Say Yoru, have you ever heard of Takuya Soma?"

"Uh yeah, it's that actor, Nobuaki told me about, told me he's a great actor, saw one of his movies and I agree with him." I said then she nodded.

"Did you know that he can actually sing too? Originally he was an idol and..." Rinka kept talking about Takuya Soma and made me listen to couple of his songs. Guess he's not so bad as a singer too.

The day pass by and now it's lunchtime, Rinka and I decided that we're gonna take a stroll today instead of hanging out in the rooftop. "L-Listen Rinka, have you ever confessed before?"

"Hm... Back mostly it's boys who confesses to me, but yes I've confessed once." Rinka said then I look at her with anticipation. "You wanna know who?" I nodded then she giggled. "It was my childhood friend, my pair, I was into him but I didn't realize it at first and treated him horribly, when he first confessed I called him disgusting pig." I looked at her surprised then she looked down with a melancholy grin. "He still stuck by my side, later on I confessed to him."

"W-What did you say?" I asked.

"I told him 'Hey Cloud, I love you, so don't look at anyone else but me' he called me selfish for saying that even though I don't share the same feelings he has, but then I argued that I really do love him in that sense." Rinka explained.

"What happened then?"

"What happened... We dated, he is an alpha so we paired up after three months." Rinka said then showed me the bite on her neck.

"Where is he? Is he older than us?" She shook her head.

"He's two years younger." Rinka said, oh so he's still in middle school, explains why he's not in the high school branch. "What's with all those questions anyways... No way..." She trailed off then grinned mischievously. "Are you going to confess to Sato-Senpai~?" I blushed bright red by her statement.

"S-Something wrong with that?!" I shouted then she laughed at me.

"You're so adorable Yoru! How did you bring myself to make up that decision?"

"It was Eri, my big sister. I thought I hated all alphas because of the shit they pulled on me back when I was in middle school, but then she made me realize that not all alphas are bad, and that I should listen to my heart." I confessed to her then she smiled gently.

"You have a nice sister, I wish I had someone like that back then."

"W-Well, you got me now, if you're troubled you can always talk to me about it." I said then she gave me the brightest smile ever.

"You're the sweetest Yoru, I wish people would know this side of you instead of calling the troublesome delinquent." Rinka said then we both laugh.

"After school, I'll get my sweet from Nobuaki then tell him how I feel!" I said.

"Do you want me to accompany you?"

"I guess there won't be trouble, I need someone to rid of that squirt who follows him around."

"Oh you mean Mikito Kobayashi-Senpai?" Rinka asked.

"Ah yeah, whatever his name is." I said in a nonchalant tone. The bell rang signaling us to go back to our classroom, since Rinka and I in the same class, we went back together.

Nobuaki POV.

After school...

"Nobuaki, just go home if you're done with club activities, Yoru not gonna show up, he already said he hates you." Mikito said then I shook my head.

"He'll come today, definitely." I said then Mikito sighed.

"Just give it a rest, yesterday you waited three hours and he didn't show up." Mikito argued back but I stubbornly shook my head. "Oh my god Nobu, you're so fucking stubborn! Why are you waiting for a guy who won't show up?!"

"Because I love him Mii okay! I love him, I know he hurt me but I wanna understand why does he hate alphas so much?! He's just hurting!" I protest then Mikito glared at me.

"You're the one who's getting hurt here Nobu! Since when you cared this much anyway?! Stop reaching for someone who's only gonna hurt you." Mikito shouted at me, I close my eyes then turn away from him. "Oh my god Nobu, listen to me!" We both glared at each other, finally Mikito sighed. "I can't change your mind, can I?"

"No, I'm gonna be firm on this one Mii." I stated then Mikito shook his head in defeat.

"Oi... If you're fighting, mind me joining?" A voice call out from behind us. I jolt up then I saw none other than Yoru himself, next to him was the girl who always hang around him. I saw them yesterday in the garden...

"Yoru, what did we say few minutes ago?" The girl said, I sworn I heard her name before, what was it... Ah yeah, Rinka Kujo. She did help me with the incident with the rapist by writing a testimony on my behalf since I stayed by Yoru's side at that time.

"Ah sorry Rinka." Yoru said then smiled wryly. Wow, they are on first name basis. Ugh so annoying, I wanna tie him up, lock the door and have fun with that sensitive body all day long.

"Excuse me..." Mikito trailed off then took out the sweet out of my hand then shove into Yoru's hands. "You got your sweet then leave, I don't want you anywhere near Nobu, hurry along with your girlfriend."

"Girlfriend whaaat? Who?" Yoru looked confused then Mikito point out at Rinka.

"Oh! I'm just a friend, I already have a pair!" Rinka explained then Yoru nodded. For some reason this made me sigh with relief. Wait... What about him chasing after her and the embrace? Maybe I really should tie him up once I get the chance.

"I don't care, I don't want you around Nobu." Mikito protest.

"That...! I can't do!" Yoru said then I avert my gaze. "Nobuaki, wait, I gotta say something to you?"

"... I don't want to hear it." I said in a cold tone then walked away. I'm such an idiot, what am I running away from?!

"Wait, please!" Yoru shouted then grabbed my jacket from behind. "I'm sorry."

"... What?" I stopped then turned toward him. His face was red and his grip on my jacket became firmer. "I didn't hear you right, can you repeat?"

"I'm apologizing you piece of shit, listen properly before walking away." Yoru shouted angrily, the way he looked at me was so cute and funny, but I held my laughter so he won't punch me, it still hurts where he punched.

"And what do you expect me to reply?" I asked with a cold tone. He froze for a second not knowing what to say then let go off me. Thought so...

"... I..."

Yoru POV.

Three years ago...

"Yoru over here!" Ichiei called out for me then I go to his side. "Look it this!" I checked the magazine in his hand then frown.

"I already told you I'm not into girls, now hide this porno or the teacher gonna confiscate it." I said then shook my head.

"Oh forgot you're gay, like seriously girls are better!" Ichiei said then I rolled my eyes.

"Ugh no way, they complain a lot, they fuss around a lot and ugh when they're on their period they are intolerable, nope I had it enough, Eri is plenty for me." I argued then Ichiei sighed.

"It's your loss man, but seriously, you're eight grader and there is no sign of your cycle showing up, maybe this is a sign you're gonna be an alpha~?" Ichiei said in a teasing tone.

"I hope so, I mean look at me, I am so manly!" I lift up my shirt showing off my six-pack. "Besides, my sister is one so obviously I'm gonna be an alpha!"

"I'm envious, you got great body, have couple of girls fawning over you even though you're into guys... You aren't so bad at your studies, the perfect guy!" Ichiei praised me then I blushed a little.

"Even if you're a beta I'll never change my view of you, you're my friend!" I said then Ichiei grinned. The teacher, Mr. Hayashi or so should be, entered the class signaling us to have a seat. the man in front of us was wearing the government uniform stood in the place of the teacher.

At that time I never knew the darkness of this world, nor the betrayal I'll face in the near future...

"Good morning student, my name is Ryota Fujimoto, as most of you noticed I work in the government, today class is going to be about something very important which is the world system." Mr. Ryota said. His aura was very cold, his eyes were staring at us, but it felt as though it was staring at nothing. The way he's introducing himself to us was very formal and somehow it made me very uncomfortable. "But before we start I'd like to ask you, the student body of this class, is there any of you here who didn't go through his cycle?"

"Oh that would be sir, I still haven't went through mine..." I said then Mr. Ryota stare at me for a while, after few seconds he avert his gaze and took out a note.

"What is your name student?" Mr. Ryota asked.

"Y-Yoru Yamamoto sir." I answered then he nod, he wrote my name in a small black note then hid it inside his breast pocket.

"Alright, is there anyone else?" He asked again but this time nobody answered. "Good, so back to our class, today lesson is going to be about how our system is created..." He trailed off then take out a board pen, he drew a pyramid and divide it into three sections. "As you all know alphas are at the very top of the pyramid as they are known for their strong pheromones that can make betas and omegas submit to them and for their ability to control their heat cycle which unfortunately omega can't do."

"Um excuse me?" A student raise his hand.

"Yes?" Mr. Ryota said.

"I-Is there a possibility for a beta to turn into an alpha or vice-versa?" The student asked.

"Yes, beta can if they manage to intimidate an alpha and overpower him, but it'll have a very bad side affects such as irregular sprout heat and several headaches, this kind of case is very rare almost impossible, as for the other way around there haven't been a record about an alpha turning into a beta." Mr. Ryota said then the student. "Is there anymore questions?"

"No sir, thank you very much." The student said.

"... Alright back to our topic... After the alpha, it's the betas who very much resembles the ancient humans, betas don't have a strong pheromones and after their first heat cycle they don't go through any after." Mr. Ryota said then point out at the bottom of the pyramid which are the omegas. "As for omegas they are at the very bottom of the pyramid, unlike the alphas, omegas are the inferior in the system as they can't control heat and very sensitive of alphas pheromones, when their monthly cycle hits them, omegas get an exception permission to not attend school nor work for a whole week at the maximum level."

"Um excuse me sir." Another student interrupt.

"Yes?" Mr. Ryota asked.

"About breeding, c-can beta have children?" The student asked then suddenly the whole class started to murmured and whisper.

"Actually that what I wanted to ask too." Ichiei whispered in my ears.

"Why you didn't ask then?" I whispered back.

"Isn't it obvious? The teacher is so scary." Ichiei answered then I nod.

"Silence!" Mr. Ryota said in a firm voice causing all of us to fall silent. "Betas can impregnate omegas, their same race especially females, but it's impossible for a beta to impregnate an alpha. As for alphas impregnating a male beta is a very rare case-- Almost impossible to happen, as for Omega they can't impregnate Alphas nor beta as their building structure is made to carry a child, they can only impregnate their own though." Ryota looked at us for a second then drew on the board a couple of people. "Back to population, as you all know the most common race between the three races is the betas, as out of ten people seven are betas, following them is alphas, as out of ten people two are born, then omega who are the rarest of all, that will be all for today, class dismissed." We all stood up then went to the teacher's desk to prove our attendance as we slid our student ID through scanner.

After school...

"Oh my god that Ryota guy is so scary and intimidating!" Ichiei complained.

"I don't know... He is kind cold, but in a cool way." I said then Ichiei shook his head.

"If he was a girl I wouldn't mind being his slave." Ichiei said then let his fantasy run wild.

"Pervert!" I said then we both laugh.

"So little Rentaro is one year old now right?"

"Yeah, he is so small and cute, mom and dad are gonna bake for him a birthday cake, wanna come?"

"Sorry, I got a date with my girlfriend, I already messed it up last time, don't want to anger her anymore." Ichiei apologized then I smile.

"It's okay, I don't mind, in fact I could help with your date." I said then he lighten up.

"Really?! Yes, thank you very much! You always know the good spots for dates!"

I took out my phone then we started to make mini-romantic date, I didn't realize that it took long time till it finally was dark. Ichiei quickly went to meet his girlfriend, as for me I went home walking, it takes ten minutes to go commute from school to home. I texted my mom that I'm on my way then kept on walking.
