Night had approached, Los Angeles were back in their homes. Most watching television as the day slowly became night, some watched for the news while others other shows. Though tonight will be different for a certain someone.

The fact that Kagerou wasn’t involved yet uneased Victoria. What’s worse it’s an event thread he had set up, so he got permission from someone. Jake? Aquilla? She wasn’t certain, but it was official. Whatever happens in this thread happens…
TheGreatWolf99: I’m waiting. Establish Volt then I’ll continue.
It doesn’t help that he’s starting to get impatient. Victoria had a really bad feeling, enough that her face scrounged up and showed unease. Still, she continued on. Maybe there was a way to get around…
VTesla26 (8:14 PM)
This was after the meeting with Kagerou. Night had fallen on the city and so far there were no reports of criminal activity. It seemed Volt could rest for the night. She sat on the bed with Hazel who was watching kid shows, she remembered to have the girl keep her distance. She waited for the little girl to sleep.
She needed to know what was going on, and it was on the Television…it didn’t sound good.

The children’s show continued playing before being interrupted, taken over. It was the set of the local news station. It however wasn’t the usual as what looked to be heavily armed men took over the studio. The news casters were taken hostage to the side.
What will you do now, hero?

She knew this was going to be trouble, and worse he was taunting her. She heard the ping from probably another notification, but she focused on the thread in front of her. She was uneasy about this. What were these armed men? Could they…
It can’t be…
Volt was alarmed to the channel being interrupted and hijacked. She saw the news caster of the normal news set being taken hostage by armed men. Hazel looked at her.
“Mommy what happened to the TV?” She asked, innocence saving her right now. Volt reached for the remote to turn it off. She looked to Hazel.
“Mommy?” She tilted her head, Volt paused then faked a smile.
“It’s okay, you’re just imagining things. I turned it off since its time for you to sleep.” She says.
“Oh and Mommy remembered she has to do something! Why don’t we bring you to Miss Robinson’s again?” She asked, but already she was carrying Hazel.
“But I want to sleep with mommy…” Hazel says
Ping.
TheGreatWolf99: Hurry up.
Victoria rolled her eyes, deciding not to give him the satisfaction. She was going to do this properly.
“But I want to sleep with mommy” Hazel says with a frown, Volt shakes her head.
“We’ll sleep together soon alright Hazel? I just need to do this.” She says, Hazel nods. After walking her down the hallway and, thankfully she was kind, passing her to Mrs. Robinson, Volt bolted for her room and opened the closet. She pulled out her Miss Electric Jacket and placed on the mask.
She then made her way out the window and onto the nearest street pole, racing to the news room.
[ Requesting time skip to location. ]
Sent. There she waited, using tricks of her own to get there faster. The sooner the better…
The ping soon followed.
TheGreatWolf99 (8:19 PM)
She was racing as fast as she could. As she passed through the streets TVs showed one of the men speaking. Volt could hear the muffled tones as she passed open windows. Hundreds were watching.
“…Citizens of Los Angeles. You who have been saved are now under the biggest threat. These people you call heroes, are nothing but freaks and murderers.”
Volt continued on towards the broadcasting station. She was getting closer, but time was ticking.

This alarmed Victoria. This confirmed much that he knew, but how? Only she and Jake should know this. There was more to the reply, but she brought up the chatbox with Wolf.
| VTesla26: The fuck are you doing Wolf?
How the hell do you know that?? |
But no reply from him, she then brought up Jake’s chatbox.
VTesla26: Jake I need help asap. Wolf is bringing up a problem.
No response however. She was feeling uneasy about this, uneasy about the situation. If it was being broadcasted…
…Wires. Electricity.
Volt realized what was heard. Something was going on and that was bad news. She paused then looked at the wires. She could
She could shut down the broadcast if maybe Volt could just shock the whole grid. Just like she did in New York, she could cause a power outage. It will fry the whole powerline of Los Angeles but…It could…
…It was an option…but it sounded very much wrong. Victoria paused to think of an alternative that wouldn’t just repeat-
Ping.
TheGreatWolf99: Hurry. Up. 5 minutes or I reply again.
Victoria was starting to hate this. She deleted her reply and typed as fast as she could.
VTesla26 (8:21 PM)
Volt raced through the power lines but noted what she could hear. She had a bad feeling about the situation and raced as fast as she could to the location. She needed to stop the broadcast.

She eventually arrived, it was lucky she paid attention. There was no guard out front, if you check behind the desk the guard’s corpse was there. Shot in the head. On the desk was a tv playing the news.
“The one you call Miss Electric, that hero. She is a wolf in sheeps clothing, a mass murderer, a ticking time bomb that will be the end of Los Angeles. A beast that nees to be hunted down, and I shall prove to you why.”
The broadcast room was upstairs, along with the afternoon staff. The elevators were set on the first floor, the stairs was also there.

TheGreatWolf99: 5 minutes or else I will reply again.
VTesla26: You don’t need to tell me.
Victoria was getting annoyed, she checked to see if Jake hard replied but none so far. She was on her own in this event thread. She was already assuming the worse.
VTesla26 (8:27 PM)
Volt entered and noticed the lobby was not manned. She went over and saw that the guard was shot in the head, she looked away. These people were serious. She looked back and paid her respects, giving him thanks for his service, but then she heard what the man had to say. Her eyes were wide and clenching her fist she went for the elevator with haste.
“No no no no no…” Volt mumbled. Volt opened the elevator but instead of staying inside she attempted to open the hatch into the elevator shaft. She started climbing the ladder there instead.
He probably thought of ways to try and stop her, and seeing as they were talking about a murderer hero, and this was Volt’s thread…she already assumed he knew about her backstory, somehow.
The game was on, it was a race towards the top. Victoria decided to be a bit smart with this, but she hurried. Volt’s whole life was on the line…

Volt decided to climb the elevator shaft ladder instead of going up through the elevator, she tried to leave them guessing as to where she was coming from. She thought she got away with it, though bad news for her. She didn’t know that the elevators had a camera.
The next floor’s elevator doors opened and there were two people, guns pointed at Volt.

Volt saw that people were attempted to open the elevator doors, they were aiming at her. She had to react quickly, and she did by tossing coins at that direction and attempting to speed them fast enough to knock back the people.

[ Criminal’s 7 vs Volt’s 8 ]
Volt attempt has succeeded barely, the coins flew at the perpetrators and knocked them back. She had a limited window, the station’s PA was turned on.
“Oh, and she is here. Are you scared of the truth? You here to cover up the murders you did years ago Miss Electric?
The murders back in New York City?”
This was starting to feel unfair. She needed to get up there soon, before whatever was happening happened. She didn’t know why, but she could feel anger against Wolf. He messaged her his time limit but she was already typing way ahead of him.

Volt needed to get up fast, she thought. She couldn’t just keep climbing, she had to get up asap. She decided to see if the ladder was steel and it was, she attempted to electrify it then use it as a way to get up to the floor with the broadcasting room faster.
( Not falling for the same trick twice. ) Volt thought. When she made it she ready to toss coins at the door.

She rose up the ladder, the muffled sounds of the PA could still be heard.
“Yes, she murdered people. Thousands. Proof? The Warrangate crisis. They blamed the electrical company but I knew the truth. Those people who said it was a monster who caused it was right! It was a monster!
I know because I saw her as she discharged in the middle of the powerplant and fried the whole city’s circuitry. Even until now the people have not recovered from the crisis she has caused!”
It didn’t stay muffled for long as the doors a floor under opened and guns were pointed up. They started firing since they knew it was her.

Volt knew what they were doing, and she wasn’t going to let them get away with it. Even if guns fired on her she attempted to jump towards the other door. She used her powers to cling to the door and attempted to open it.

She reached the door, but was it the right door? She opened it as best she could, and was faced with goons. The broadcast continued.
“You see all these dead bodies? This was caused by her! Do you see these scars? That murderer caused it! And you let her into the city! You praise her for being a hero when she’s another villain!
Miss Electric did you think you can amend for the sins? All those people killed by you? Where is the justice in this exactly? Where??”

Volt immediately attempted to knock them out, send a shock through them enough to incapacitate them. She touched one and shocked him, then the other she ended with a fist to the face.
“OUT OF MY WAY!” She shouted as she breezed through the criminals but she was running out of time it seemed.
She acted fast, then looking for the floor she was supposed to go to. The itinerary was on the elevator side after all. She attempted to get to the next floor through the elevator shaft.

Volt was able to hone in on the location of the broadcast and attempted to get to the location. It was the floor below, but then there were still the goons below. She was hit by one of their bullets as they fired on her, it was aimed at the shoulder. This caused her to stagger.
“This monster needs to be taken away, put in a cage, brought to justice and to death for what she has done to the New Yorkers! Justice! Forget about her good deeds, she is a disaster waiting to happen! She is an uncontrollable entity!”

TheGreatWolf99: Think of this as punishment for dictating what happened when you shouldn’t. Remember that is God modding, which is not allowed.
VTesla26: Bastard.
VTesla26 (8:38 PM)
“Gah!”
Volt took the hit, one in the shoulder. It hurt, a lot, but she had not much time to think. She had to act, she needed to stop the broadcast. She was already on the floor, she decided to just go for it. She leapt for the door and attempted to open it.

[ Goon’s 10 vs Volt’s 5 ]
The goons got some more shots off as she leapt, and although some grazed another landed itself on Volt. It knocked her off but she reached the door. It hit her arm which was bleeding from the two bullets that hit it. She tried to open it and to some avail, she was at the hallway leading to the broadcast room.
The broadcast continued.
“Do you want a ticking time bomb to go off in this city? Or would you rather we kill this monster you call hero and let this city sleep peacefully tonight? Take out the wolf in sheep’s clothing!”

Volt just went for it. She didn’t care if her arm was hit or her shoulder was hit again. She needed to take it out, so with her good arm she grabbed coins and ran for the door. She barged right through the door and threw the coins at breakneck speed at the stage. She didn’t care anymore.
“SHUT UP!” She shouted.

[ Goon’s 2 vs Volt’s 2 ]
What Volt did caused commotion, guns were pointed at her as she tossed the coins at the stage at breakneck speed. The man was grazed but was not directly hit. The announcer, a man who looked pissed, saw her and raised his pistol. He fired at her.
[ Goon’s 10 vs Volt’s 8 ]
He got her right in the thigh. The bullet Volt couldn’t prevent as it was too quick for her to move. The camera focused on Miss Electric who was shot thrice now. Bleeding from the shoulder, arm, and leg.
“And look who tried to silence the witness. Miss Electric, what do you have to say for yourself?”

Victoria froze. She did not expect that to happen of all things, for a fail roll and worse another that incapacitated Volt. She was out of coins and worse incapacitated. Volt was probably in pain right now. She could try to fight back, she was willing to fight back. She remembered that she still had the electrical surge from her own story.
She had to do it, it was the only way out right now. Victoria just wrote.
Painful. Shot in the arm and the shoulder, now the leg as well. She hadn’t anticipated it, but she tried to brace it as the bullet went clean through. Leaving another gunshot wound on her. She felt her vision going hazy as she was starting to become emotional, electricity started to jump around her as she felt…desperate.
“Shut up shut up shut up shut up SHUT UP!”
She shouted at them, building up energy as emotions started to take over and make her vision blurry. Electricity jumped out of her as she built up and continued shouting. She could wipe out the electrical grid at this point with the amount of energy she was building up so suddenly. If she discharged, it would take them and the city out.
But she didn’t. After some breaths her vision returned, the electrical charge diminished. She wasn’t going to repeat what had happened those many years ago.
Not here…
She wouldn’t do it.
Victoria couldn’t write otherwise.
