A fish swims around a bowl

His tail flicks tantalizingly

The cat watches with a eyes like coal

Her whiskers twitch

“Hello cat”

The cat sits up straight

No i wasn’t stalking you

Says a forced nonchalance on her face

“Hello fish”

The fish turns around and hovers near

The cat blinks slowly

“You’ve nothing to fear”

The fish is trusting

“OK cat”

He leaps out of the bowl

And lands with a splat
