Jonathan looked around, astonished. This place surely was beautiful. He looked around eager to see what he could do first.
“Mom, can you go to that observatory over there? I mean, like on one of those floating islands.” Jonathan asked.
“Sure, why not?” Katherine responded.
Upon hearing this, Jonathan quickly ran over to the entrance leading you to an elevator that led up to the floating island.
Jonathan waited for his mom to catch up. Once she did, Jonathan called the elevator. About 30 seconds later, the elevator doors opened.
They were only two buttons on the elevator, and one of them was lit up while the other was not. One of the buttons seems to take them up to the island, whilst the other brings them back down.
Jonathan pushed the button that brings them up. Immediately, Kathrine and Jonathan felt a jolt as the elevator started to move upwards. Then, they felt another jolt when the elevator stopped.
The view was magnificent.
They appeared to both be about 100 or more feet in the air, and the land around them was more or less flat. These were criteria that allowed them to see really far around the area.
Jonathan was incredibly amazed when he saw this view. “We aren’t even on the top of the observatory yet!” He remarked.
“Shall we go to the top of the observatory now?” Katherine asked.
“Yes.” Jonathan said in return.
Again, there was another elevator to take them to the top of this observatory. And the inside of this elevator there were, yet again, two buttons. One that took you up, and the other that took you down. But this time, there is also a sign that read “please do not jump.” This frightened Jonathan.
Maybe the rope that carried the elevator up was sensitive to sudden weight changes?
The elevator stopped.
The doors opened.
And the most magnificent view of all presented Kathrine and Jonathan.
They could easily see all of the river is it floating islands in waterfalls throat Mystic Park, along with the forest that’s around them. They could even see the edge of the forest in the start of some ocean, and also roads.
“Boy, this view is amazing. A heck of a lot more amazing than on the bottom of the island.“ Jonathan said.
Jonathan spotted, almost directly under their view from an island, was a circle of trees, inside of them were five rocks.
Jonathan went back into the elevator. “Done already?“ Kathrine asked.
“Yeah, there’s something else that I wanted to check out.“ Jonathan said.
“If you say so.”
And so the two took both of the elevators that brought them back down to the surface of the land.
“That was a breathtaking view though.” Jonathan said.
“Yes.”
Elevator doors opened.
Jonathan ran toward the circle of trees.
“What I wanted to do was check out those rocks.“ Jonathan said.
“Don’t” Katherine said.
“Why not?“ Jonathan complained.
“Those rocks were the whole reason this park was called Mystic Park. They can send you to any time that they wanted to.” Katherine explained.
“OK, you’re telling me that these rocks or sentiment beings and can also cause time travel?” Jonathan asked.
“Yes.“ Kathrine said.
“That’s insane.”
“Don’t be arrogant!”
Jonathan jumped on top of the rocks, and with a sound as loud as a clap of thunder, he was transported to the triassic era.
