He looked at me with a confused expression. I realized what I had done. #noregerts
Did I break him? Yup.
Whoops? Nah.
Funny? Definitely.
I pressed my index finger against his chest and pushed him gently. He backed away as I did so. I walked over to where my phone had dropped and picked up the pieces.
"If this isn't a dream you're getting me a new phone." I looked up at him, amused.
He seemed to snap out of it and gave me a strange look before his spear materialized in his hand. Crud. So much for hiding it.
"Where am I?"
"You're in my home."
"Yes, but where?"
"Earth."
"As if that isn't obvious."
"Rude."
He sighed, "Where on earth are we?"
"Not the North Pole."
"Fine. Who are you then? Perhaps you'll at least tell me that!"
"Your worst nightmare."
He quite nearly face-palmed, "This has been one." He turned and practically ran to the door. He pauses, "Let's not meet again." He lifted his spear towards the door and it opened. He went through and it slammed behind him.
Silence filled the room. I glance at the table. The helmet's still there. I grin wickedly. Surely he won't miss it, right? And if it is a dream then it doesn't really matter.......right?
I quickly made my way to the table. The helmet gleamed in the artificial light of the fixture above. I slowly reached my hands toward it, fully expecting Loki to show up at any moment and stop me. The moment didn't come.
I lifted it up and gazed at it. The cold metal seemed to glow at my touch. Suddenly, an urge surged through me. I had to try it on. Seriously. It felt like it was telling me to. Ok, it could be just wishful thinking but I REALLY wanted to try it on.
I turned it around and slipped it onto my head. I instantly felt the power flowing from the helmet. Actually no, not really. There's nothing. Not even a single drop. Dang it. I run to the bathroom and look in the mirror. At least I look cool. Now, I just need the perfect outfit.
The next thing I knew, I was wearing a ton of leather with gold and green accents. Aw yeah!! Now we're talking. I even had these cute, knee-high boots. I looked fabulous. I sorta wish the helmet wasn't so big tho. It's a bit loose-fitting too.
The helmet fits now. And it's smaller. I'm going out like this. I don't care what anyone thinks. I smile and walk out of the bathroom and into my bedroom. I grab the essentials, wallet, lip gloss, etc. Then I remember that Loki broke my phone.
Lo and behold there's a new phone on my bed. Heh. Heheh. EHHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEH.....
I'm even sounding like Loki now.
