The next morning me and Chase got ready for school like nothing had happened and walked to school together too with no Liam in sight. I felt relieved to not have him around but also a bit worried of when he would pop up. It wasn’t until second period ended that Liam showed up by my locker and waved at me. I forced a smile and waved back even though he creeped me out even more than usual today. “I hope your parents are okay Adam. See you at lunch buddy.” He said as he traced his hand over my back making me shiver then wonder how he knew of my parents. The only one who knew was Chase and we just had class together. I was even more creeped out now and was almost sure Liam knew where they were and that's when I got my first red flag.

I opened my locker door to see a note taped inside that read.

Dear Adam,

I hope you don’t think of me now but I just had to get read of your mom and dad. Don’t worry they are safe and alive for now. I only did this to make you happy...I love you Adam. I’m willing to get rid of anyone who may come between us and our love.”

After reading this letter I felt the hairs on my neck stand up and I was almost certain that Liam took my parents and was not threatening me but I knew better then jump the gun. Especially since I was sure that Liam wasn’t a stable person and he could very much kill me or someone close to me at any moment.
