Just as Lucia wants to reply something hits her behind the head and the world goes black.

Waking up Lucia tries to move, disoriented and blackness clinging to her senses she tries to get up, pain lancing through back, trying to move again another blow and she passes out again.

Back at the house Angel has now woken up and has gotten dressed, she finds Gunner standing outside and she asks him “Have you seen Evelyn?”

Gunner replies “No, and Lucia is not here either.”

Malcolm joins them and says “lease get of the patio, that’s blood over there, I called the station they are on their way.”

Surprised by this Angel and Gunner re-enter the house and wait for the police to arrive, the crime scene unit gather the blood and take all the evidence they need, after they leave Malcolm now drops his professional demeanour and asks them “So did you know that your team mate is a violent former felon?”

Gunner replies “Yes, but she was pardoned after her service in the military to defend the planet.”

Malcolm not accepting this berates Gunner even more “Listen here, I don’t care what some politician said, because of her my little girl is missing now and for all I know she’s had a hand in it. We are going to the station now and you will inform the captain about what you know.”

Gunner then calmly replies “The only thing we are doing, is finding our team mates.”

While they are arguing Captain McInnes enters and asks “So what is that I hear that the Blood Queen is back and that she was in my station, further more possibly involved with the kidnapping of one of my former officers?”

Angel now visibly irritated interjects and says “Ok, now is the time for everyone to calm down!”

Gunner nods and then says “Captain, seeing that you came here, I am going to ask once, will you allow my team to operate in your city? Just me and Angel.”

To which the Captain replies “out of the question, I will not have some gung ho trigger happy mercs romping through the city.”

Gunner then replies “Captain, either you work with us or we make your life very uncomfortable with some very powerful people we know. They owe us a few favors and this is one instance I am willing to burn all that good will, so I ask one more time will you help us? Or do you want to start planning retirement today?”

Mulling this over for the next few minutes he responds “What do you need?”

Gunner then says “Last known locations and associates, and for your officers to stand clear, Mercs will draw less attention than the police or military, and Captain, thank you.”

Angel then says to Malcolm “We’ll get her back, I promise.”

The old policeman just nodding and sitting down.

Gunner then makes a call to the Hannibal, requesting his and Angel’s armor pods.

Chief Rawlins responds “Commander, your gear is not very suited for urban combat so we have made a change, you’ll be geared with the M105 Retaliator heavy machine gun, same round type and fire rate as the retribution, but in a smaller package and slightly better armor penetration with it’s dual stage linear accelerator, plus the less strain on the cooling feed will do wonders, we’ll be adding jump jets your armor aswell.”

Gunner replies “Thanks Chief”

Warrant Officer Pulaski then speaks “Commander I am inbound with the gear, give me 45 minutes.”

Gunner replies “Roger that.”

Angel then says “so the plan is hit the streets and clear these bastards out, right?”

Gunner just nods

As they wait for the ship to arrive Angel’s thoughts wander to last night, the kiss she shared with Evelyn.
