Andie
It seems as if I'm always waiting on these two. I'm sitting under my favorite tree waiting for my friends to arrive. There are hardly any people here, it's nice and quiet. Maybe I got to school too early. I leaned my head up against the tree bark and closed my eyes. I don't plan to sleep, I'll just rest my eyes for a bit. I listened to the leaves blowing in the breeze. It's so nice and relaxing.
Wait, where the hell am I? All of a sudden I was in some fancy house. I don't remember my day ever ending. I don't even know how I got here. I don't know what the rest of the house looks like but I do know this house is huge. I was standing at one end of this....this grand, gorgeous corridor. I looked around trying to see if I spot anything familiar. Damnit, where the fuck did I end up? Where the hell is Maverick and Piper at? There are so many rooms in this overwhelming hallway. What appears to be a staircase, is in the middle of this hallway. What floor am I even on? Second? Third? Forth, even? I noticed a door all the way down the other side, was opened. It was the only open room. It's like it's drawing me towards it but it isn't because it's opened, I feel this...presence inside the room. I have to know what's in the room, even if it tries to kill me.
I started to walk towards the room but as I began to walk past the staircase, I stopped. Instead of looking downwards to find out where this staircase leads from, I turn to face the wall behind me. A huge family portrait hangs, taking up a great deal of space. Who are those people? They are all unrecognizable. The family only had one son. He was a bit fuzzy, I couldn't quite make out any of his features. Why the hell can't I see him? What the fuck is this? Still, even if I can't see him clearly, I'm getting this vibe that he's...unhappy. I tried looking at his parents but my God. They are worse. I can't even see what the fuck they look like. It's nothing but blobs of color all mixing together. Just like the boy though, I get this vibe from the blobs. Like a proud feeling. However, it isn't of their son but more towards their accomplishments. In fact, it feels as if they ignore their son more than they think. Before I even get a chance to think about this family, this feeling overwhelms me. It's a "worrying" feeling. Whoever is in that room right now, is hurt. But it's as if I know that person.
"Andie, wake up! For God's sake, get up!" This irritated female voice shouts at me. An irritated voice I know all too well. When I opened my eyes, there she was. Piper was staring me down, crossing her arms but looked a bit relieved I woke up. I guess I did fall asleep.
"We've been trying to wake you up for the past 10 minutes," Piper announced. We? It was just then that I noticed Maverick standing next to her. I rubbed my eyes and looked around. There were a lot more students around and it was a bit noisier too.
"How long have I been asleep?" I asked.
"Don't know. We only just got here." Replied Maverick. At that moment the bell rang.
"Ready?" Maverick reached his hand out towards me. I took it, instantly I was pulled up.
"Not in the slightest," I responded, swinging my bag over my shoulder. Before I was totally ready for school but after that dream, not so much. Some elves get visions. Some get visions so intense, they can predict the smallest detail in the next years, months, weeks, or even the next few minutes. Usually, elves that get those kinds of visions can have them during the day. My grandfather used to get visions constantly. They were intense too. He predicted having my father, well before he had met my grandmother. He even predicted that my mother had me way before my dad even met her. Grand Father always thought my dad would get visions but he never did. Instead, I got them. Well, I've only had two so far, including this one that would be three. Each one of them I had was in a dream and usually, details are fuzzy for me or don't make a whole lot of sense. I dreamt of meeting Piper and Maverick. If I had known they would have been so frustrating to deal with, I would have stayed far, far away from the couple.
Well, probably not. They aren't too bad. Especially since all we have is each other at this school. I couldn't really focus in homeroom. By the time the bell rang to go to my next class, I didn't remember a single thing that happened in that class. Who the hell was that kid in the photo? Was he human or a Magical? Damnit, who the hell was he?
Nathinn
"So you'll never guess what happened after homeroom today," Emah said, sitting down on the grass. I'm still not used to this awkward fence blocking us. She began to take some food out of her little lunch pail.
"Your science partner agreed to work with you?" I smirked. I was only half-joking. Of course, I knew she would want that.
"Um, well. Close. Kind of. He wasn't here today or his brother." She unwrapped some type of sandwich.
"Uh oh. They are officially avoiding you, Em." I said in an over-serious tone.
"I know! The nerve." Emah replied, playing along with her own over exasperated tone. Her expression softened a bit though.
"Seriously though, one of the members of the 'Pretty Boy Club' Mr. Mikah Evans himself, pulled me aside after class." Emah had a proud smile plastered on her face.
"Oh. My. Gosh. Please tell me you got his number!" I said in a fake fan girly tone. Emah's smile instantly dropped. She took out a little container, opened it, reveling grapes, picked one out, and threw it at my head. Without missing a beat I caught the grape in my mouth. Emah rolled her eyes.
"Can I please finish my miraculous tale?"
I nodded while I ate the tiny fruit.
"So. He made a proposal. A very nice little deal. Turns out we have a lot of classes together. He asked if he could sit next to me in all the classes we have together, in exchange for him talking to Wilder about our project. Mikah said he'll convince him to actually work with me. And please don't ask me why the all too popular Mikah Evans needs some sort of buddy system." Emah's proud smile returned. If anything she's more excited about finally completing the project.
"That's pretty cool. Well to finally get this whole project over with." I said, opening my mouth trying to signal to Em for another grape. She plucked another one out and tossed in straight through the fence, into my mouth.
"I know right?" Her smile seemed to get bigger.
