Nyx stared up at the night sky. She hadn't slept in 3 days. Tired, she drifted off into sleep...

"Stay away from her! She's a leech!" A boy's voice woke Nyx. She opened her eyes and looked up to see a handsome boy with wolf ears and a tail. He was very tall. Standing next to the boy was a girl with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a crown. Obviously a princess. Nyx sighed. "What do you want? What did I do wrong? I-I'm sorry..." The boy, who ignored her, shouted, "FIGHT ME, LEECH!" "Who the heck are you?" Nyx stood up. "I'm Kaze, a w-" Nyx cut him off. "I know, you're a mutt." Kaze gasped. "How DARE you call me that!" Nyx laughed a little. "You call me a leech, I call you a mutt." She slapped him. "Hey!" Kaze backed away and took unsheathed his sword. If Nyx was making an enemy, why did he have to look like...THAT?!

"I'm not fighting you, mutt!" "JUST FIGHT ME, LEECH!" Kaze and Nyx continued arguing. The princess had literally just walked away, ignoring the situation. Nyx really didn't want to fight Kaze. "Go away! Leave me alone! Get lost!" Nyx shouted at him. But Kaze wouldn't leave her alone. "STUPID LEECH!" "STUPID MUTT!" "GO AWAY!" "YOU'RE THE ONE FOLLOWING ME AROUND!" They continued to argue. "This is just stupid!" Nyx sighed. "Like you!" "JUST LEAVE ME THE F*** ALONE! I HATE YOU!" And all was silent. Kaze, who had seemed to switch from mad to completely normal, quietly said, "Hey, you never told me your name..."

"I'm Nyx." Nyx said in a very small voice. "Nyx." Kaze repeated. Why is he being so nice now?  "Sorry about that." H-he's actually APOLOGIZING!? Nyx seemed shocked. "Leech...wanna be friends?" Nyx didn't know what to do. She hadn't had a friend since she was 8, and she didn't know how to act around them. "U-um...O-OK."
