The majority of the gold origin students at the front were somewhat expressionless, but a tinge of arrogance could be seen on their faces. Who could blame them? They were the cream of the crop, the best of the best. They were destined to be the rulers of this world, even if they put in little work. Thus it was only natural that no one was worthy to sit on the same level as them.

“Phew! I'm just in time.”

Juan's unadulterated voice rang through the auditorium, alerting everyone to his presence. Anyone who was anyone knew who this man was. Thus he received more attention than usual. The bronze badge on his black uniform was like a massive attention magnet.

Thomas himself could not help but frown, nevertheless he did nothing and simply waited for class to start.

Juan marveled at the sheer site of the auditorium and whistled. Looks of disdain flashed on a few faces in the class. Words like hick and pauper were being thrown around in whispers.

Juan ignored them, and went straight to the front, sitting down and stretching as if it was the most natural thing in the world.

The entire class was stunned into silence! It was so quiet one could hear the sound of a pin drop. Some students dared not to breath, scared that they would make noise.

The gold origin student next to Juan was a beautiful young lady. She was short, blonde, curvaceous and pleasing to the eye. Her silky smooth white skin was like jade and her blue eyes sucked in the souls of all who looked.

Right now those eyes were looking at Juan. Juan merely looked sideways for a few seconds, then looked forward again.

“What do you think your doing?” A charming female voice came from his side.

Juan looked at the blonde lady and said with innocent eyes, “I'm sitting down.”

“I know that you fool. I am asking why you are choosing to sit there.” Said the young lady. It was evident that she had a short temper as she was struggling to keep her voice down. This was supposed to be menacing but Juan thought it only made her look adorable.

“Well I sat here because it was the nearest seat to me.” Juan blinked innocently.

The young lady gritted her teeth, then a voice came from behind.

“You bronze trash, watch your mouth when you speak to Lady Klum!”

Juan looked back while pointing at the blonde girl.

“You mean this little girl?”

“Insolence!” The silver origin young man behind Juan slammed his table as he stood up. His large body exuded a vicious aura. “How dare you-”

A calm but powerful voice radiated out at this instant, “Young man, did you forget that this is my class?” The large silver origin student started to stutter! Thats right! This was the class of the head of the Beta Division himself. Professor Thomas was known for his cruelty, leading to the large young man apologizing profusely for his actions. He bowed so hard he started to resemble a chicken pecking corn from the ground.

“You may be seated. This time shut your mouth.”

The young man immediately sat and kept quiet. At first he was glad that he sat at the front of all silver origin students as this was a sign of status. But now he started to feel that this was a bad decision.

Juan was impressed. The professor did not shout but his voice was like thunder in the ears of all the students. An invisible pressure was also imbued into his voice, making him even more imposing.

The blonde girl, known as Lady Klum, was a little indignant, but she kept quiet. Time for class had started, if she attempted to start a fight now, it could affect her standing in Professor Thomas’ eyes. This was something she wanted to avoid at all costs!

Juan raised a hand indicating that he wanted to ask a question. Thomas frowned but hooded toward him.

Juan stood up and bowed. “My name is Juan Kim Louw. Professor Thomas, I have a question. Is it against school rules for me to be seated here?”

“No it is not.”

Juan then continued, “Does the professor have an issue with me sitting here?”

“I couldn't care less.”

“Thank you sir.” Juan bowed once more then sat down. Lady Klum was downcast by what just happened. It was just as the rumours had said, Thomas had no interest in school traditions. Thus it was up to her and the other students to deal with Juan. She could not do so in class, but she was more than happy to do so outside of it

“My name is Thomas Schmidt. I am the head of the Beta Division. This is Beta Theory and Tactics. My job is to teach you how to properly use your skills as a beta enigma user. Everyone starting from the student at the top, state your name and ability.” Thomas pointed at a student who was seated at the top right of his vision.

Many abilities and names were mentioned. Some even took time to compliment Thomas for his amazing reputation and what not, only leading to Thomas frowning. The well informed students knew that Thomas hated ass kissing the most.

Finally it was Lady Klum’s turn. “My name is Hera Klum. My ability is instant existence. Thank you.” As soon as she mentioned her ability, gasps sounded out all over the class. This was an incredibly rare and powerful ability. In terms of killing power, it was without a doubt in the top ten of abilities within the entire world. Even Thomas was surprised.

This was a rare ability that usually appeared in the gamma division, a beta variation of this ability was even rarer, and thus more valuable. The Klum clan was a clan that was well known to be in servitude to the behemoth that was the Jaeger clan. Within this city, few could stand up against it.

Hera had a smug grin on her face. She was more than pleased by the outcome. Although the other gold origin students had impressive abilities and talents, she was confidence that the rarity of her ability and its ranking in the top ten killing abilities gave her an edge.
