The last person to speak was Juan, when it was his turn, all eyes were on him. Thomas being a teacher naturally knew his information as it was in his application form for the school. But Juan had written Electro Magnetic Wave Manipulation. This was more of a category of abilities than an ability itself, thus he was curious himself. He also knew of what Juan had previously done and his history, thus he was curious to know, what ability did this boy have, that convinced Duke Louw to have him protect one of his favorite children?

When Hera saw the interest Thomas had in Juan, she could not help but feel indignation once more. She was supposed to take the spotlight! She was supposed to be the topic everyone was talking about! Yet no matter how special her power was, it could not compare to a bronze enigma origin student in the Violet class! In the Beta division no less!

Of all the ability types, Beta type skills were the most difficult to train, thus it only made sense that talent played an even bigger role. Yet here was Juan. Even if it was something done by Professor Campbell to spite Juan, the fact that Juan had been allowed to be in here meant one thing. The academy as a whole had approved! In other words Wolfgang Voight approved!

Nothing escaped that man's eyes. For Juan to enter, it required Wolfgang's permission. Campbell had assigned Juan to the Violet class in anger, but later realized that there is no way the higher ups would accept, but then word from Wolfgang Voight himself came saying it was accepted!

Only the Senior staff and the most powerful families, Klum included, knew about such a story. Thus when Juan stood up, all eyes were in him. But he disappointed.

“Juan Kim Louw, my ability is Static Wave.” Once more a burst of noise came from the class. Even Thomas himself opened his mouth. It was open for so long a fly could have gone in.

This reaction was not without merit. Static Wave was the most common ability among all beta users. It was by no means useless, it was quite important and it had many good uses, but it was also not something to cry home about. 3 quarters of the beta users in the school outside the Vector's Edge section were static wave users.

However not a single person in the Vector's Edge section had Static Wave as an ability, in other words, it was a trash skill.

The earlier that day Johann had asked Juan to explain his ability in detail, so he could properly tell Juan what it was. Johann was confident in his theory, but even he was gobsmacked. Juan had no idea how odd his situation was.

A student with Static Wave as their ability in the Violet class of the Beta Division? This was nonsense!

Thomas felt a headache coming on. He had no idea what to do here. Logically speaking having Juan here was an insult to the standards of the academy, but at the same time Wolfgang Voight was the one who had approved. Did he have the guts to say otherwise? Not in a million years.

The man was a living legend and no one dared to even oppose him when he was wrong.

Thomas cursed Wolfgang Voight a thousand times in his mind, until he finally composed himself. He had did not like what was happening, but he had no choice but to go with the flow.

He coughed once, gaining the attention of the class, then began his class in earnest.

“This class is mainly divided into two parts .The parts are theory and tactics, as this is your first lesson I will be touching upon a bit of both .

First I will begin with tactics .Vector is a military organization however Vector's Edge is unique in the way it operates. Members of Vector's Edge act in two man cells, these are referred to as Mission Partners as I'm sure you are all aware, members of Vector's Edge are still part of Vector meaning they still have normal military ranks ,but their first ranks are officer ranks as they are being trained to be future leaders of Vector. For example after graduating one might immediately attain the rank of Captain .

Such a rank cannot be obtained by ordinary members of the Vector unless they obtain military merit. Members of Vector's Edge have a lot of power but also face a lot more difficulty. Its rare for a Vector's Edge soldier to live past the age of forty due to the sheer difficulty of the missions. With great power comes great responsibility ,such as the burden we have to bare as humanity's gifted .l am the last surviving member of my generation's Violet class...”

The professor's last words caused quite a few students to gasp in shock .Many of them knew the dangers involved when they decided to join Vector's Edge ,but their sheer ignorance had made them easily forget the danger ahead of them .Thomas words brought them back to the cruelty that is reality .

Yes as members of Violet class they garnered respect and envy everywhere they went .A future filled with riches and fame awaits them; but only if they can survive .This was a serious gamble ,one with high risks,high rewards, and their lives has collateral.

Grim faces plastered the entire auditorium ,and this was exactly what Thomas wanted to see .Yet when he arrived at Juan's face the later couldn't help but frown once more. Most of the students had expressions filled with fear .Even Hera Klum had a pale face yet somehow beside her one was Juan picking his nose as if he had no worry in the world .

Thomas could not help but feel a headache when he saw this .His intuition told him that Juan was not going to be an easy nut to crack.
