Hello again journal reader, I hope that you are doing well today. I do sincerely apologize for that unfinished entry from yesterday. I had intended to tell a story about what we had done yesterday at work before I went to my therapist, but I fell asleep at my desk. I went back and added the missing t that I hadn’t quite finished writing when I dozed off. I will try to keep myself awake from now on when I write these entries. I have actually made myself a very strong cup of coffee to keep me awake. I also decided to turn all of the lights in my apartment on, just as a bit of extra precaution to keep me from falling asleep again. When I woke up this morning, I was quite frustrated with myself for having not finished the entry that I had promised I would finish. Sorry again, I know that I do ramble sometimes, but I surely do not intend to do so whenever it is happening.

Before I go on with talking about how my day went, I want to quickly say something about a neat little idea I had earlier today while I was working and looking at my colleagues' hair. I’ve always found my own white hair to be quite odd to have for a water apprentice, despite knowing the reasoning behind it, but then I had an interesting thought about how I could possibly change the color of my hair to match the color of a usual water apprentices hair. See, as almost all of us know, apprentices’ hair changes to a certain color because of the essence in their body, or at least that’s how the Master’s got their hair color and then passed the trait of specially colored hair down through the generations. The point I’m trying to make here is that, if I were to infuse my hair with water essence, I could potentially change it to the natural water essence hair color and I would no longer stand out so much. However, once I thought about that, I actually thought that maybe it wouldn’t be so great of an idea because standing out and being unique isn’t really a bad thing. I don’t really know, I think I’ll have to rest on the idea and maybe conduct some tests to see if my idea is even possible.

Now, I will finally talk about my own work. Today, we had a very fun day of work because we were able to go out on a field assignment and to collect some live samples for testing. We swam out to a large drop zone and breeding ground for rare fish where we thought that we would be able to catch some helpful fish to be used in some testing. Unfortunately, another creature of the sea had the exact same idea as we did and it ended up chasing us all the way back to our lab where we used a combination of all our magic to capture and freeze the lightning angler away for some later use. Now we have a crazy high supply of lightning angler blood that we can use for all kinds of testing and research!
