The study group arrived to the library, took a table for them and started with their study session. Besides Sam, Okami and Chris, the others had somehow problems in one or more subjects. For that reason, the three helped them out with their weak points. An hour barely passed when Vas, Erik, Gabriel and Jonathan arrived to the table were the others were studying.
- Guys? What are you doing here? – asked Sam.
- A cute girl in the reception, was it called Megan? Anyway, one of the librarians told us you were here – answered Vas, talking as if it wasn’t strange at all their presence there.
- That wasn’t what I intended – retorted Sam – Weren’t you doing some ultimate cheating planning or something?
- Well, we were – said Erik, smiling in embarrassment – But you see, this happened…
While the newcomers sat down with their companions, they left the telling to Erik. He told how they were going through the corridors of Heisen, when they overhead by chance a conversation between Ms. Ehrenfeld and Miss Wittich. The two women were walking towards the stairs that would take them to the second floor of the Educational Department, to the teachers’ room.
- … thank you for coming. I know you’re always busy – said Ehrenfeld.
- It is fine, I supposed you would call me to discuss regarding the students’ study program – said Wittich.
- Oh, that isn’t the case. actually, I’m fine with it. I would like you to make me a big favor. It’s regarding the students – continued Ehrenfeld.
- Oh, I see. What is it?
- You see, I’m pretty sure more than one will try to copy or cheat the test that will come since tomorrow. I’d like to ask assistance from your department. Among the Educational Department, there is nobody able to use DunkelLicht energy, so I cannot be sure they wouldn’t come out with some kind of trick we wouldn’t notice – explained Ehrenfeld.
- You are concerned about that. It is true what they say about you, Miss Ehrenfeld: you are truly a diligent person.
- Haha! Well, that’s my job, after all!
- I will arrange someone of our department able to perceive easily if the students decide to make use of their powers – assured Miss Wittich.
- Thank you for your support, Miss Wittich.
Erik ended his account explaining that, after hearing that, they decided that would be indeed impossible to cheat without being noticed and had no other option but study.
- Haha! It seems you have to swallow all you said before, eh, Vas? – pointed out Dave, and with him everyone else laughed.
- S-shut up! It’s not like I’m asking for your help or anything! – said Vas, somehow embarrassed.
- Common, Vas! Drop the tsundere acting and sit here! – said Okami, still laughing – Let’s start with English, that your grammar is trash to say the least!
- Hey, I’m not that bad! – retorted Vas, knowing that was true what Okami said, though.
- Yeah, sit here and let’s continue – Sam invited Erik, Gabriel and Jonathan as well to the table.
- Thanks guys! – Erik, crying tears of joy tried to hug Sam – You’re our saviors!
- Don’t exaggerate! Just sit down and calm down! – said Sam, taking distance from the friend.
The students of Heisen tried the best, each of them, to keep up with the studies. They remained inside the library until night fell over the city. They departed ways, wishing the best of luck reciprocally.
For four intense days, each morning the students at Heisen confronted with the terrible exams their teachers prepared for them, studying then in the afternoon for the following tests. Most of them felt like their reached their limit, with all that study, while the others helped keep up the moral of the group. Then, after a weekend of full rest, they finally received their final grades. Loud shouts of joy exploded through the corridor of the Educational Department when, in front of the notice board, the students of Heisen looked at their final results. All of them successfully graduated to the next school’s year. Only Sam, Ste, Chris and Okami had excellent results in all subjects, while the others had some low marks, but not enough to fail. Nonetheless, everyone was happy about their success. “At last I can enjoy my Summer Break!”, shouted Erik enthusiastic, forgetting for the moment that that break was just weeks . Everyone was so excited to remember.
