I sit in my room after a tiring day of work. I turn on the lamp, pull out the book and continue reading.

I have gained many suitors, but I love none. I have no idea what to do. It would have been so much simpler if I just went back to Zachariah, but I can’t.

They are stupid. I can’t believe them. I need to get out quickly, but they are slacking off. I even asked of them to talk to father. But I still have to wait another three weeks.

I have been ordering lots of thing, dresses, perfumes, jewelry, and all of our finest things. I have spent time talking to Permia. I told her everything. She helped me learn how to act and what to do.
I hear a knock at the door and I shove the book into my drawer and slam it shut. I go to the door in a hurry and open it. Outside stands the King.
“You were supposed to work.” He shouts, his face red.
I look back defiantly, I’m tired of being treated like trash. “I’m sorry sir, but I had to go.”
“That’s not an excuse. But forget that. Follow me” He turns and walks away. I follow him carefully, something’s up and I don’t trust the king.
