The white knight steadied itself as the gang leader striked again. I better get rid of him first. Another man stabbed the knight in the arm, but it bounced off the metal armour.
"Go away. Cilane is going to be ours. Nothing you do can stop that." the gang leader sneered.
The knight ducked as the gang leader swiped and countered his hit with it's sword.
Another gang member lunged for the knight, but the knight's attention wasn't towards him. Instead, the white knight was glaring at the gang leader who was now on the ground. A metal clank sounded and a knife fell to the ground. The white knight looked up to another knight clad in armour - a stark red to it's white.
"How dare you rob Cilane. Stay in Lidan." the newcomer growled.
"Thank you..." the white knight muttered under it's breath. Who is that?
The newcomer nodded in reply and both returned to the fight. Together, the knights were able to disarm and tie the gang members to the ground in less than a few minutes. At last, the red knight lodged it's sword into a large chest and it clicked open. The white knight removed it's content and loaded it onto a horse.
"I'll just drop this off at the houses that were robbed." the white knight said, gesturing to the red paint on certain houses, marking the robberies.
The red knight watched in silence as the white knight knocked on every single door and offered the money to each and every family. In the last house, a little girl answered the door. Frightened, she slipped back into the safety of her house and called for her mother when she saw the white knight.
The knight bent down and whispered, "Do you know how much was robbed?" The little girl walked closer and nodded. She pointed to a velvet red bag filled with jewels.
"That's my mom's. Daddy gave it to her as a present for their anniversary." the little girl said. The white knight smiled, though it couldn't be seen.
"Take good care of it. It'll be yours someday." the knight replied, putting it into the girl's hands. The little girl nodded and rushed into the house again. The white knight waved goodbye.
"That was nice of you." remarked the red knight, still leaning against a nearby wall. The white knight nodded.
"You would have done the same." the knight replied, disappearing into the darkness.
I don't think I would have. The red knight sighed, picked up the sword, mounted the horse and left.
