The buzz and the continuous ringing of my phone wakes me up in a supposed to be fine October Friday. Apparently, the person who dares wake me up seven in the morning really want a kick on the ass. Though a part of me wishes that it will finally be Sam who will do so, because he won’t only receive a kick from me when we meet again after two weeks of no communication, no answering of my calls and texts, no show in any of our classes and no annoying presence lurching on the door next mine; for he’ll certainly receive a punch on the face and gut as well from me.
Unfortunately, the ringing of my phone is because of Airin calling me, and not Sam. For unknown reasons, I don’t know why she is calling at such time of the day, knowing that I am one of the late risers of today’s youth. Morning starts for me at eight o’clock, that’s why all my classes start at nine and that I decide to stay in dorms to avoid going to school way to early.
I slowly reach for it clumsily from my bedside table and tentatively answer it with an audible sleepy voice. I yawn, “Airin, it is still too early for you to—”
“ADA JULIA VERA WESTON!” she screams at the phone. “WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME?!”
“Tell you about what?” I am still so sleepy to understand her words, that she is clearly panicking already wherever or whatever she is doing right now. I know too well as well that being a Friday, she has a class at this hour. And it seems to me that she has a very long spare time to make this call.
“When are you going to tell me that you know Brión Siadhail personally?” she inquires.
That lone question makes me push myself up and sit on the bed upright. My brain cells all working in such frenzy as I ask the most probable one for me to be sure of my own assumption, “What do you mean?”
If Airin is right in front of me at this very moment, she already rolled her eyes at me on catching up slowly on where everything is leading on. She then adds, “That Sam Bryce Beltrami was Brión Siadhail? Sam! Frenchie was Brión Siadhail! That’s the very reason why I told you at the first time I met Sammy that he looked like Brión Siadhail. And I am a fool not to realize that it is really him! I should have seen it behind his disguise! Darn it! Why haven’t you told me?”
“It’s much better if I’ll explain it to you personally, Airin,” I answer solemnly. “Look, I am sorry that I didn’t tell you. I am not in the right place to tell it to you.”
“Sammy blackmailed you?!” she assumes right away. “Is he really Brión Siadhail?”
“Yeah, yeah. Anyway, where have you learned about it?”
“Haven’t you received a message on your own? You and Frenchie are the current headlines of Chitchatted UCD Gossip, Mi Adá! That’s the very reason that I called. Not because I am angry with you and Sam keeping the truth from me, but I know that there’s an explanation, and I’ll surely hear the reason from either or both of you, as you’ve said.” Airin’s voice starts to sound way too distress, and the background chattering and muttering of wherever she might be right now starts to grow thicker. “And might I tell you that there’s countless of students and media personalities gathered around Roebuck Hall Residence wanting to catch either you or Sam. Girl, I can’t even make it to the front steps. Guards barred them after all. Did I even mention that barricading the perimeter are English royal guards? What’s this all about?”
I hurriedly move away from my bed and rush to the French doors leading to the balcony. I am thankful that covering them were black-out, thick, white curtains. I take a quick peek for a moment, not wanting anyone to catch sight of me at all. And heck… Airin is right.
It seems like the whole student population are gathered outside. I can’t even see passed through the thick group until the tree lines across the streets of the residence. There are also news anchor around, countless of them, doing a current report about the scenario. And the main complete highlight is the fact that standing close to the residence gates are rows and rows of English royal guards; no doubt that Sam already knows about this issue and his father, the General of the Irish Air Force and also an English Baron, steps in. After all, General Beltrami owes my father thanks for having a close watch with Sam’s health.
On my hold, I can barely hear the next words that Airin is telling me. I can’t even process them at all. And before anyone could see me at all, I hurriedly move further back from the curtains, until the back of my knee hits my bed and I sit down again, staring at nowhere.
Airin’s voice disappears without me knowing, causing me to snap out and check my phone. It appears that within the last fifteen minutes, I’ve received fifty text messages and twenty-three calls from both Mom and Dad. And currently, a caller is overclouding that of Airin’s.
The caller is Sam.
I press Airin’s call again, and I tell her calmly, “Hey, I got to take another call right now. Message me when you finally make it in the residence.”
Realizing the dullness of my voice, I hear Airin sighs, and her voice softens to one of worry, “Alright. Take care, Ada.”
I end the call, and finally answer that of Sam’s. Surprisingly, there’s only silence on the other end of the line, telling me that he is not here in Roebuck or anywhere near the Residence at all.
“Hey,” he calls softly first.
I gulp hard, and gain the voice to speak, “H-Hey.”
“You okay?” he asks after few seconds. Distress is audible on his voice, no doubt that he is not anticipating something like this in the first place. “I didn’t expect that the issue will escalate like this. This is what I truthfully feared as I told you. You getting involve, being caught by the spotlight… I don’t know how to apologize. I am truly, deeply sorry about this. I am starting to wonder—”
“Don’t even wonder that you’ve missed something,” I interrupt. “Because you didn’t. It will die on its own overtime.”
“You tend to handle the situation much better than I am.”
“I told you that you don’t need to worry about me. I can also take care of myself. You have a lot other things to protect. How did your father react when he found about this one?”
He sighs heavily. “I received the message from Chitchatted early this morning. About six-thirty this morning. I don’t have any other choice. Before it could even be aired on the television, I told Dad and Mom about the gossip. My mother would certainly brush this one off, being a born actress before. But my father… you know him, tradition is important to him. Within a minute, he had ordered a squadron of Air Force soldiers around our home and a battalion of royal guards in Roebuck for your protection. Dad knows how important you are to me, and as well because of what Doctor Weston had done to save me before.”
“How did this happen?”
“Apparently someone caught us when we were together at the fire exit, just after we evaded those rushing fans two weeks ago. It took them long enough to finally came to conclusions and to have you pinpointed out.”
“There’s a picture?”
“The one sent by Chitchatted in SMS are not really that one you’ll consider high-definition. The one that they’ve posted on their site, it’s very visible then. Not to mention that it contains way much more than their chain message.”
I wince as I place my phone next to me, click the loudspeaker, and hurriedly grab my laptop, opening it in a frenzy. “Are you saying that there’s not only one picture?”
“Yes,” Sam replies. “Remember that I’ve been watching over you the first day? I don’t remember seeing you on most of the places that they have a picture of you. The clothes hint it; they were captured at different dates and times of the day.”
My hands are trembling when I open the internet and type down Chitchatted UCD Gossip’s official site. And damn… the very first one that I see is the list of their most viewed, commented and trending gossips at the moment. It appears that there are three gossip articles linking me: one for Sam, one for me, and one for the two of us. I don’t have any choice but to open them each and read onto them.
I start with the first article, the one of Sam. Scrolling down the article, there features Sam as Brión Siadhail in one of the premiere nights, the photo of him he had posted when he announced his resignation to the industry, him in Chemistry class, and his disguised then on the first day of classes. The article though reads like this:
BRIÓN SIADHAIL’S REAL IDENTITY REVEALED!
It had been a week ago since the time that we’ve last heard about the going on rumors that famous young actor Brión Siadhail, who recently retired from acting, was seen along the halls of UCD’s College of Chemical and Bioprocessing Engineering running with a red-head chic. And after thorough deliberation, we’ve finally came up with a discovery that the name “Brión Siadhail” is simply a stage name.
That’s right. You read right.
Because who would have thought that Brión Siadhail, the girls’ of this generation’s ultimate dream boyfriend, happens to be born nobility?
Brión Siadhail’s real name according to his UCD records is Sam Bryce Beltrami, The Honourable. Addition to that, he is the son of Irish Air Force General Darien Haul Beltrami, the current baron of their noble family, and former actress Lauren Taylor. He has an older brother who is already a Captain of the Irish Air Force named Emerson; an older sister Niamh, wife of a young successful entrepreneur of a trading company Darryl Cardenas; and a younger sister named Tegan.
It had been a buzz three decades ago, when the Baron and Baroness married why such great and beautiful actress Lauren Taylor resigned from acting. It was revealed that English nobility has a set of rules that protocol states that anyone bounded to aristocracy couldn’t enter into certain jobs such as being in the film industry.
And connecting the dots, we can say that it is a probable reason why Beltrami quits and enters UCD. That could also be the reason why he used a stage name such as Brión Siadhail, who no one even knows at all. Not until now.
The second article though features the one that involves the two of us. That first day in College when he tugged me along with him to run away from his fans. And who would have thought that someone managed to find where we are? A proof of it is the picture captured about two floors above us where Sam was cradling me on his arms, the time were I can’t even breathe. There’s also a series of pictures of us sitting together, and when the two of us put on our disguises for that day. All of it were featured in.
SPOTTED! FIRE EXIT, USED AS A HIDING PLACE!
Weeks ago, we gave you the news that Brión Siadhail, now revealed to be truly named as Sam Bryce Beltrami. Along with this revelation, a trusted photographer of our Chitchatted UCD Gossip allowed us for this pictures to be posted. And just look at that…
There’s our influential and famous heartthrob Beltrami along with another UCD College of Chemical and Bioprocessing Engineering student. They’ve chosen a rather surprising date setting. Every one of us knows that fire exits around the campus are meant to be used only in case of emergencies. But the fact that the two of them were chased by a bunch of Beltrami’s fans demanded emergency for our lovely couple.
Though we received haters for the lucky girl along with Beltrami, because damn… who wouldn’t be so jealous of her? Seeing the pictures, it is indeed clear that our mysterious lady earns a very huge part in Beltrami’s heart!
If you clearly remember, Beltrami always told in interviews that he had a childhood friend who has a huge place in his heart. And on his last and most recent interview, he said that this friend influenced his decision to retire in acting and pursue something in life.
Connecting the dots, that will only mean that this girl could really be Beltrami’s childhood friend/sweetheart. Just look at it. This girl is a UCD College of Chemical and Bioprocessing Engineering student. And Beltrami happens to enroll on the same College course as well!
Who is indeed the lucky girl?
The third and last article is finally about me, containing pictures of me that were from my social media sites. Some of the pictures were official photographs when I joined the Summer Youth Olympics last 2014 in Nanjing, and others are of my school records in Dublin Scioto School, where I attended high school. And, well, some are of stolen pictures of me around campus and my College ID. Who would have thought that I have countless of stalkers since day one?
EXCLUSIVE: SIADHAIL’S RED-HEAD CHIC
We finally figured out who is the mysterious girl along with Brión Siadhail at the young actor’s ran two weeks ago. And just as our assumptions said, it is true that the lady is a UCD College of Chemical and Bioprocessing Engineering student as well!
To reveal the Siadhail’s red-head chic’s name… here it is.
Our newest girl to watch out is none other than… Miss Ada Julia Vera Weston. That’s right! Miss Weston is the only child and daughter of one of UCD’s respected physics professor, Doctor Avianna Lowe, and her husband who’s one renowned internal medicine and double-degree specialization holder, Doctor Hayden Weston.
Does her name also rings a bell another round? Of course, it would! If you remember that young archer who represented Ireland for the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, in Nanjing, then yes! We are talking of the same girl in here! It is none other than two times gold medalist Olympian Miss Weston.
Sources pinpointed out that the red-head chic along with Sam Bryce Beltrami two weeks ago in the run from fans around the College of Chemical and Bioprocessing Engineering is Weston. Beltrami entered Professor Seaghdh’s Chemistry class about thirty minutes late and sat next to Weston, the two of them ran after class, and was photographed together with being romantic with each other in the fire exit!
Damn, start getting jealous girls. Because Ada Julia Vera Weston is not only an Olympian archer, but also has brains and beauty, and completely charming! Since classes started two weeks ago, “UCD Fans and Crushes” ranked her as the most popular one among the freshmen in the College of Chemical and Bioprocessing Engineering, along with none other than, but of course Beltrami.
And seeing the two most popular in campus right now, what could you think of them if they ended up as a real couple? Is it a riot then for both genders trying to win their hearts? It seems that Beltrami and Weston had countless of questions to answer because we won’t rest until they reveal the truth of their relationship!
