"Will, uh, will your dragon be able to, to fit through a door this small?", Evyna asked while looking at the door. Well, her train of thought was right, as it was a roughly regular-sized door- a bit larger to accommodate some larger monsters, but still not more than three metres tall- whereas Davna was a Red Dragon, famed for their size, and even if she wasn't completely matured yet, she was still more than ten metres tall. However...
"I can fit just fine!", a cheerful, young female voice responded from next to her. There stood a girl with ankle-length, blazing red hair, fire-red eyes with split pupils and scales covering her body, acting as a replacement for clothes. Her arms beyond her upper arms and her legs beyond her knees along with everything above her neck was exposed, revealing smooth, fair skin, and on either side of her head was a dark red horn, indicating her non-human status. From her lower back extended a long, thick tail, like a lizard's. She looked not a day over 14 years old.
In response to this sudden voice, Evyna jumped halfway across the- rather wide- halfway the door entered into away from the girl, before posing me a question: "Mis, mister Astaroth, who, who is this girl?!" Her eyes were like dots as she looked between me, the girl and the backside of my throne.
"This is Davna. More specifically, this is Davna while using the skill [Humanisation], a skill which grants non-humanoid Demons a humanoid form. Like this, she fits just fine", I explained, and Davna cheerfully waved towards Evyna. "Ah, and before you get startled again and jump into a wall, this is Navillus in her human form, though she doesn't need to use a skill for it", I followed up, gesturing to another figure.
What stood there was... well, it barely counted as human, I suppose? It was a humanoid, female figure- a quite well-endowed figure at that- but rather than any kind of skin colour, it was an odd shade of turquoise. Additionally, it did not quite look solid, but instead as if it was made out of some peculiar jelly- and in a sense, it was. This was the Grand Slime Navillus, having taken on a humanoid form. Slimes, of course, were able to reshape their body into any shape they liked, so it was not very difficult for her to assume this... roughly humanoid form, and even speak.
"Navillus thinks it nice to meet you!", she said to Evyna, who could only respond with a nod and a wave while carrying a completely blank expression on her face.
Following directly behind us was Charlotte, the Vampire Princess with practically white, waxlike skin and blood-red eyes, deep as an ocean. Her black hair flowed down to her hips, and protruding from her lips were two modest fangs. She was clad in what could easily be described as 'Gothic Lolita'-like clothing: that is, mostly black-and-white clothing with the purpose of covering as much skin as possible. Her frilly skirt reached down to her knees, and on her feet were thigh-high black socks with a pair of elegant shoes. Her sleeves reached all the way down the ends of her upper arms, and on her hands were gloves long enough to meet these sleeves- though the wrist of her right arm was exposed.
Behind her, focusing mostly on that same book from earlier while occasionally looking up to avoid collisions, was Lilith the Arch-Devil, a humanoid with purple skin and a pair of horns on her head. Her hot pink hair just barely reached her shoulders, and she was dressed in an outfit many would describe as 'skimpy': a pair of hotpants and a crop top which didn't even have sleeves. On her feet were a pair of fairly high boots, reaching about halfway to her knees and obscuring the socks she was probably wearing. From her lower back originated a thin tail with a heart on the end, which was swaying left and right as she walked.
Behind her walked the Ice Queen and Richard, and even behind them, occasionally regretfully glancing backwards to the machine she was working on, was the Witch Queen, Tempest. Her waist-length, messy hair was a verdant green, and her eyes a dark shade of purple, and she was dressed in a lab coat, though she was missing the corresponding safety goggles, and her hair wasn't exactly tied up either. On her head was a witch's hat, and she was wearing a pair of arcane-looking black boots, though they weren't long enough to hide her equally black socks.
After a few minutes of walking, we arrived at a relatively large, black door: that is, it was larger than most doors but smaller than the throne room's main door. It stood 5 metres tall and was about 2 metres wide. The moment I approached the door, it slowly opened in a rather cinematic fashion, revealing a dark room with only a few candles in it even though the room was roughly 10 by 10 metres. In the room's center was a rather large magic circle, with a diameter of around 7 metres, and there was another, smaller magic circle closeby with a diameter of only 1 metre. In both magic circles were complex geometrical patterns and strange, arcane characters not even I, the person who made the circles, could read.
"Richard, stand in the center of the large circle", I said, pointing to it. "Ice Queen, your spot is the center of the smaller circle." Once they had both taken their places, I pointed towards five points just outside the large circle while naming my Demon Generals, one by one, and stood on a sixth point on the outside of the large circle, myself, so that we were divided roughly evenly across the circle. "Evyna, you just stand in the corner and watch", I said, before using the Hero skill [Storage] and taking out a mysterious book: it was black, like ebony, and bound in gold. On its face were patterns in the same golden colour, but it lacked a title. These were the 'Dark Goddess's Scriptures', a book which could be likened to a Bible or a Quran, except they mostly focused on rites and rituals. Flipping to a certain page of the book, I poured magical power into my right, black eye, revealing to me the secrets this book held, and extended my left hand forward, channelling magical power into that, too, causing it to glow with a peculiar, black light.
And then, with a solemn voice as if speaking a prayer, I started chanting a spell:
"O grand Goddess lording over the gentle, caring darkness
I dedicate this orison to thee
I beg thee to grant my selfish request
Please coact with the Goddess lording over the flowing water
And grant this child thy blessings"
As the words left my mouth, the magic circle began glowing with a dark warmth, letting out a peculiar black light, and my Demon Generals, similarly to me, began pouring magic power into the circle. As I directed my attention and my left hand towards the smaller magic circle, the words continued:
"May you grant this child the powers of this grand being
May their powers unite as one, and compound, ever stronger
And may this child dedicate their existence for the sake of this grand being"
The smaller magic circle began glowing, similarly to the larger one, but rather than black, the light this time was blue, like the ocean. The blue light gathered where the Ice Queen's heart would be if she had one, gathering into a single ball and staying there for a few seconds. Afterwards, it floated over to the Slayer, whereupon it entered his chest; The black light, similarly to the blue, gathered into a ball inside his chest, and he began emanating an ominous aura. Then, with a- rather loud- 'crack', his transformation began.
The white girl clad in shadows watched the ritual from above, unconsciously making her presence known to only one. The darkness wrapped around her, like a comfortable blanket, and though no one could hear her, yet she spoke: "Astaroth, can you..." Her voice rang clear as a bell, but no one heard her words. "Can you fix this broken world?" Though her voice lacked intonation and expression, it still seemed to emanate a deep sorrow, rooted in years of powerlessness. "Can you... Can you save me? Or is that, too much..." With an expression like a doll, she still looked frail, like she might break at any moment...
