A few more balls were passed out then the coaches blew their whistles to start the game. A flurry of balls flew through the air. The twins dodged them all gracefully with acrobatic finesse. Anya stood out front, arms open, trying to get hit. All the balls zoomed passed her without a single strike. She sighed in exasperation. Zeka looked over to her dark haired cousin (Sai Arata), both of which showed no interest in participating. Sai shrugged with a vacant expression. Ed spent most of the match examining his hands obviously waiting to get out. Kaz looked around at his useless teammates and sighed loudly in frustration.

"Absolutely useless!" he caught a ball headed straight for Ed.

"The hell man?!" he gestured in annoyance. Kaz smirked and threw the ball at a timid pink-haired girl (Mira Hiroko), who he assumed was weakest link on the opposite team.

"EEEH!" she squealed and flinched. Sal dashed in front of her and caught it.

"Not cool, Yuli!" he snapped. "Don't you have any class?" he began ranting. "A true gentleman would never purposely strike an innocent lady!" Mira opened her eyes in shock.

"Tamsin?"she gasped.

"Don't worry." he turned around and winked. "I got your back."

"PAY ATTENTION TAMSIN!" Aren barked. As Sal started to turn a ball flew toward him. He shifted as he turned, and it hit his arm.

"SAL!" Carmen gestured angrily at him. He laughed it off as he walked off the court. He tossed the ball still in his hands up into the air. Mira subconsciously reached out and caught it. She stared at Sal "He protected me?" She smiled and threw it. Arlin watched from beside Kaz as a ball rolled over to his feet. Feeling confident, having not been the first one out, he picked it up and threw it with all his might. After it left his hands a ball gently hit him in the shin.

"Damn it!" he pouted as he walked to the bleachers. Alex snickered, as he was the one who had hit him. Syrus glared at him. Various other students were hit and sat out. A brunet boy (Jun Jeong) smiled as he gave a thumbs-up to Kaz.

"We got this!"

"Whatever Jeong." Kaz shrugged as he continued to ward off any attempts the other team made to get out, the now very annoyed, Ed. The Kouki twins watched skeptically and laughed. Then both teams were down to 7 remaining members. As they played Alex went out of his way to steal any ball Syrus tried to get.

"You can't keep protecting him forever Yuli!" Carmen jeered as she threw a ball in his direction.

"I WANT to get out!" Ed urged frantically. "Listen to her!" Kaz caught the ball yet again.

"Never." he said with a straight face to mock Ed's growing impatience. Alex rolled his eyes and tossed a ball back to Syrus reluctantly. He growled back but nodded in agreement. They needed to get Kaz out in order to have any chance at winning. Alex swiftly jumped in front of Aren to steal his ball this time. Aren stiffened in aggravation.

"Fuc-" Aren started to yell but was interrupted.

"Now!" Alex called, clearly aiming for Ed. Simultaneously he and Syrus threw their balls. Kaz caught the one Alex threw at only to be hit by Syrus's, which was aimed at him.

"Yes!" Alex jumped up and cheered. Syrus begrudgingly smiled back. Kaz stood there in disbelief.

"You had it coming." Ed sassed. Kaz stuck out his tongue and tossed his ball back to Ed. He looked down at it in his hands with disgust. He threw it away haphazardly. Alex stood in its path. Quickly he grabbed and pulled Syrus by the back of his shirt, using him as a human shield.

"Oi!" he shouted as he stumbled back. "Suck my d-" he started to snap after getting hit. He stopped once he spotted the coaches. Syrus grimaced as he smacked away Alex's hand and walked off. The Kouki twins laughed. Skai adjusted his glasses and looked over scowling. Kid grinned. Using the disorder, Carmen targeted him, who had inexplicably not gotten hit despite not paying attention. Jem looked over in a panic. She dashed over to push him out of the way, only to push him into another ball.

"Seriously?" Mini grumbled. The two laughed timidly as they walked away.

"Sorry." Jem looked away feeling embarrassed.

"No no!" Kid waved his hands around. "I was getting kind of tired of standing around." he smiled innocently. Skai facepalmed in disbelief.

"SKAI!" Anya called. Moments later he got smacked in the head by a ball, knocking his glasses onto the floor.

"Sor-AH!" Mira began to apologize but screamed as she got him. Mini snickered evilly as she tossed a ball into the air repeatedly. Two balls flew past each other in opposite direction, one of them hitting Anya, who was mourning the loss of both of her friends. Ed caught the other with a renewed sense of vigor after his team fell apart. Kaz jumped up on the sidelines.

"Finally!" he motioned drastically. Aren looked back at Tori with concern. Tori gave him an uncharacteristically confident grin. With all his strength he threw a ball in front of Aren to deflect an oncoming one. Everyone looked on surprised.

"Ok..." Carmen glances to Aren with a dubious look. Mini let out a sharp maniacal laugh as she pegged Carmen in the chest. "You!"

"Just go!" Alex snapped. "We can't afford the distraction." Aren regrettably nodded in agreement. Jun attempted to get Tori out, but Alex pulled him out of the way in the nick of time.

"Thanks." he smiles nervously. Alex gave Tori a thumbs-up as he retrieved the ball. Aren glared back at them completely forgetting about the game until a ball nailed him in the back.

"None of this makes any sense!" he roared. "ARRGH!" Tori kicked up the ball as it rolled over to him.

"Suck it, Saveli!" Mini taunted. Behind her stood Ed and Jun both filled with determination. Alex calmly looked over to his last remaining teammate, Tori.

"We got this." he smirked. Tori readied his ball as a response. The three on the opposing team all aimed for Alex. He leapt into the air to avoid them.

"EEH?" Mini observed dumbfounded. A ball hit her in the arm as she stood unable to comprehend how Alex managed to be so agile given his size.

"Sorry..." Tori apologized meekly as he played with his hair.

"I refuse to lose to the likes of you!" Ed howled as he glared at Alex. Jun pumped his fist in the air as he ran by.

"That's the spirit Sevan san!"

"You are so annoying." Alex leer back at Ed. Alex kicked up a ball and threw the one he held followed by the next, catching Jun as Ed has jumped out of the way.

"Heeey!" Jun whined. "No fair." Ed sighed. He caught the ball as it ricocheted off his fallen comrade. In an attempt to buy time, he put his hand in the air, like one would to surrender then kicked a ball at his feet. It flew toward Tori then he threw the other at Alex.

"That doesn't count!" Aren growled from the side. Tori dove to the ground to avoid it but the ball grazed his arm. He winced in pain. Alex caught the ball thrown his way.

"That's low even for you." he hissed. Ed stuck out his tongue.

"I got it." Alex waved to Tori, who seemed to be in more pain than that caused by the ball. He pointed to Ed while holding a ball in his other hand.

"Fine." Ed shrugged feigning defeat. Alex threw the ball low after seeing Ed ready to catch it. "Eh?" It bounced off the top of his foot and landed in his hands.

"Ha!" Alex beamed. He'd won the game.

As they filed back into the locker room Sal went up to pat Alex on the back.

"I underestimated you, Captain." he said the last part in a mocking tone.

"Don't touch me!" Alex snapped and slapped away Sal's hand. Arlin hopped forward.

"He's a lot nimbler than he looks!"

"What's that supposed to mean?!" Alex glowered back. Sal laughed tentatively as he walked in and began to change. Alex stared back at Arlin, growing somewhat embarrassed. "Couldn't let that slide, could you?"

"S-sorry!" Arlin laughed nervously. Alex scoffed and walked to his locker, his face flushed. Arlin changed quickly and dashed out of the locker room. After a quick inspection, he carefully made his way out undetected. The twins hurried to be the next out. When they caught a glimpse of the door closing behind Arlin, Mini elbowed Jem.

"Oi." she whispered. Jem nodded in response and they snuck out a different door. They followed as he stealthily made his way to a dark corridor, unused at this time of day. He dropped his bag a little ways away from the exit.

"What is he doing here?" Jem grabbed Mini's shirt collar to stop her from walking.

"No...it can't be?" Mini rubbed her chin pondering something. "Yesterday before Noriko scolded us for spying on Kanamura and Tubs..." she cut herself off.

"Kanamura got told off?" Jem didn't understand.

"No! The way he looked at Sharpe, Remember!?" Mini smacked Jem on the back of the head.

"Oooh?"

"Kid goes through there to go home!" Mini pointed to the opening where Arlin stood waiting.

"Why is he after Sharpe san?"

"Who kno-" Mini cut herself off as she looked behind her sister. "Wh-what's that?" she pointed. Jem turned to see a black pegasus eyeing them silently. A small tap on their shoulders roused them to reality.

"Ah!"

"What do you think you're doing?" Arlin folded his arms. The 2 sisters stared back in dread, he caught them. "I can't have you getting in my way." He reached out to touch the pegasus that stood behind them. Once he stroked its muzzle a thick murky darkness filled the hall. A deep reddish violet light radiated from where Arlin stood. The twins instinctively jumped away.

"What should we do?" Jem called out

"I'll be sure to tell you when I actually think of something!" Mini snapped in a panic. Arlin laughed ravingly.

"Shut it, Shrimp!" they both yelled.

"Big talk from a couple of bumbling idiots!" His voice seethed with rage. "I'll just have to get rid of you here!" As the blackness began to fade, Arlin's silhouette appeared off. Instead of his uniform he seemed to be wearing a long cloak. A gust of wind blew away the last of the haze. A deep purple magic circle formed around Arlin's hand. He ran toward Jem. She froze. Mini leapt to her sister, reaching to pull her out of the way.

"JEM!" The moment her hand reached, they were enveloped in a green light.

"Rise Dioscuri, ascend unto the heavens."

A mysterious voice resounded in their heads. Within the green light the twins stood back to back as pure white silhouettes. As they turned to face each other, the light unraveled from their forms revealing unfamiliar garments. They looked at each other disoriented as their bodies moved independently. Sleeveless collared dresses half grey, half green and matching loose fitting pale green gloves and boots.

"What's happening?" Jem shrieked.

"Like hell if I know!" Mini retorted as they held hands. As they spun the remaining light wrapped around them. Before their eyes a sign appeared, 'Gemini'. The light faded to reveal a large bow about their waist and droopy white scarves with that same symbol. They stood there for a moment just staring at each other. Arlin broke out laughing hysterically, interrupting the silence.

"You really are idiots!" Arlin snorted. "This will be easier than I thought!" he prepared another magic circle. He waved his hand forward releasing a bolt of darkness at the twins. Jem jumped to the side and fell to the ground while Mini jumped straight up and continued to levitate there as it passed under her.

"KYAA!" She let out a shrill cry. Jem looked up at her in awe.

"H-how are you doing that?" she pointed. Arlin also seemed mildly surprised. After a moment, Mini extended her arms and legs while suspended in air.

"Huh..." she giggled as she floated back and forth. "This isn't so bad." with a quick motion she returned to the ground.

"So that's their power?" Arlin grinned. "Time to go all out." Both of his hands gave off a violet glow.

"Ok, so what now?" Jem hopped up as Arlin readied his next attack. Mini reached down her thigh. Hidden beneath her skirt was a dagger, with its match on the other leg. She gave Jem an open grin. They drew their blades and charged at Arlin. Using one hand he fired off another bolt. When the twins jumped into the air to avoid it, he laughed. They lunged at him. With his free hand he swiped across the space before him. Once the girls reached him, a transparent light illuminated where they struck it, a hexagonal pattern rippled out and repelled their weapons.

"Too easy!" He mocked and performed a different gesture with his other hand, releasing a violent whirlwind of dark energy.

"Ah!" they shrieked as they were struck out of the air and fell to the ground defeated. A figure stood at the end of the hall watching it all happen. Seemingly disappointed, they turned and walked off. The sound of talking caught Arlin's attention. He had gotten so caught up in the fight with Jem and Mini, he missed his target leaving the school.

"Damn!" he growled. He tied his hair back into a ponytail as the unusual garment he wore evaporated away, leaving him in his uniform once more. He looked down at the girls, who lay on the ground still, in pain. "Pathetic!" He turned and walked off.
