"What's with all the noise?"
"You're finally up," I replied. Todd was sitting with his back on the wall rubbing his temples.
"What the hell happened last night?" He asked stretching.
"Nothing much, other than the fact that you drank yourselves blind," I said, matter-of-factly.
"Woah, someone needs to chill out and tone it all the waaaaay down," he replied rubbing his temples.
I stomped into the kitchen and for the first time in months, I actually made myself a coffee, with more milk of course. Keith came out of the bathroom fully dressed and smirking so much I wanted to slap it right off his face.
"You seem to have survived last night pretty well," Todd said when Keith sat down.
"Life is knowing when you should drink yourself blind and when you need to be sober for the next morning," Keith said chuckling, the crinkles near his eyes deepening. Can you imagine? He was chuckling! He was your typical Gaston minus the actual sexiness.
"Are you guys ready to leave yet?" I asked sipping my coffee.
"There's no rush. Andrew is still knocked out," Keith said getting up and walking towards me. "Can I have a coffee?"
"Yeah, sure," I replied pointing to the empty coffee machine and walked back to my room.
"Kathleen, darling, what time is it?" Heidi asked drowsily.
"Time for you to grow up," I mumbled.
"Hey, what's your problem?" She shot back.
"How do you simply walk into my bathroom with a man you barely know and do what you just did then, sit there asking me what my problem is?" I spat back.
"I can do what I want Kathleen, we're no longer in high school!"
"Of course you can do what you want and with whomever you want!" I replied putting my coffee on my bedside table.
"So what's the problem!"
"My problem is that you are in my home and you know I never accept that! Not here Heidi! I have boundaries and you walked all over them with your filthy shoes and cleaned them on the carpet while you were at it!"
"Kathleen, I am tired of you being oh so holy and a saint all the time. We both know I'm the one they really wanted to have drinks with. I mean, come on, look at you!"
