I pushed him away, "Don't ever call me that" I sniffed and left. The bell rang and the halls began flooding. "Daniel!" someone shouted, I looked behind and Rowan was calling. I turned back and went outside. As I stepped outside, he grabbed my hand. "Danny" "Please, I just want some time alone" he then pulled me to a hug.

I cried even more, his arms were warm and his heartbeat was beating fast. I felt his concern for me, and how much he cares about me. I don't know why, but I'm falling for him.

A week after what happened, me, Rowan, and Scott we're walking down to Rowan's house when we saw an unfamiliar car parked on the street. I saw a man carrying two cages with Bubbles and Elizabeth. I ran towards him "Hey, I'm sorry sir but they're not for sale" "I know" he put them down in the car. "That's why I'm taking them with you" he turned and it was Michael.

I felt nothing except annoyed. I grabbed both the cages "I'm sorry sir but they're not yours. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go home". "But you can't" he said "Sure I can, this is where I stay" I pointed at Rowan's house. "No, as in I moved all your stuff in my house" "You What!". "Ma" Rowan exaggerated. "I'm sorry sweetie but he had evidence that he was his child. He even searched for it inside".

"Come on in" he patted on the seat, I rolled my eyes and got in the car. "I'm coming with you" I turned and saw Rowan. "I'm not gonna leave you" his mom came towards him. "Are you sure about that" "Yes Ma, I can take care of myself".

After half an hour, I saw Rowan carrying a gym bag. "Let's go" Michael said.

The drive wasn't so long, it was really just blocks away from school. The house was big and had a huge garden. I went inside and saw Daniel wearing a birthday hat and holding a party popper. He pulled it and confetti was flying through the air. “What’s this all for” I asked. “I’m glad you asked” said Michael, he pointed up. There was a banner that says ‘Happy Birthday Daniel’ with my picture on it. “Welcome home son”.
