Dheer came out and ran to pick up locket from the dustbin where he threw. However to his shock it was missing. He looked everywhere and silently returned to a seat nearby with a sad face.
“Are you looking for this?” a voice asked showing the locket to him.
Dheer looked up and was happy to see the locket. The one who spoke was a boy of around 15 years.
“Thank you, its mine” he said trying to take the locket, however the next second it was gone.
Dheer looked at him questioningly, suddenly he felt something was not right and carefully examined the boy.
“You are one of them” he said.
The boy smiled “Yes and no” he said.
“Let’s go out” said Dheer.
Both walked out of the hospital.
“So what do you want?” asked Dheer.
“I will give you this but on one condition, you need to make a promise” he said showing the star locket.
“Promise?” Dheer was confused.
“Yes, after a few days I will come to you, you need to make me as your apprentice. Also I will help you with your father’s condition.”
“Wait, you want to be my apprentice?” he was schocked after hearing the request. “Why?”
“So it’s a deal, right?” smiled the boy.
“What if I don’t? And who the hell are you?”
“No need for extra details, you know that I am already a god. That’s enough. As for the other question, you need to otherwise I am not returning this” he said showing the locket.
Dheer got angry and raised his hand, the locket in the boys hand started to vibrate as it tried to escape from the boy’s grip.
“Whoaa...” The boy was startled by this new development. He tried his best to constrain it. Dheer was also little startled by seeing his opponent restricting the locket, but as he saw the locket calmed down, he lowered his hand.
“From the expression on your face you did it without knowing just in rage” explained the boy smiling. “Whatever, my question remains the same, I can be of your help. Yesterday you killed a god, do you think he is the only one who will come after you, there will be many, your trouble has just started.”
“Fine I accept but first you tell me about the help you said about my father” without thinking much.
“I will give blueprints and metal so that you can forge a hand for your father, but only after you make an unbreakable promise.”
“Really?” a small hope rose inside Dheer. “Fine” he replied.
“Now raise your hand and repeat after me” he said. “I Dheer, making this locket and five elements as my witness promise that I will take Sasta as my apprentice, I will not go back on my word. If ever I break my promise, fate will destroy me” Dheer raised his hand and repeated the words.
Sasta also raised his hand and suddenly a golden thread formed between their raised hands binding their hands. He made Dheer repeat few more words then he handed some pages, a golden book along with the locket.
“Those pages will help you with the blueprint; the book has some of my own research which will help you with the basics. Also, this is the star metal, use this to forge your papa’s hand. I have only two shields; they will help you shield powerful attacks. In future you will also learn and be able to make them, however, as you are in the start, they will surely help.” He explained handing two stones.
“Crush those stones after you put a small drop of your blood on it” he explained the process. “Also be careful, as you are going to face powerful opponents. Also there will be more apart from them” with that he disappeared.
