“I apologize master, please could explain exactly in what kind of situation am I in?”

Tvastr sighed “fine, but how much you will remember is upto you.”

“I am a god who forges weapons for gods, I forged weapons alone for many years, in your case millennia. Then I had some apprentices and men to work under me. Over the years it expanded. Some of my apprentices started their own associations and weapons.”

“Similarly after many years, new batch arrived. I was not interested at first, but due to requests from powerful gods as they were sending their descendants I had to accept the new batch. However I was still busy. So some of my elite apprentices will be taking them, but they requested that I take atleast one who will become legendary like them. So I agreed, there were tests through which many were eliminated.”

Tvastr laughed, “well the descendants of main gods were able to get in some of them through backdoor. I was not much satisfied, as a final test I plucked a star put my intent and other things, then threw it. I told them whoever is capable of taking it will be my main apprentice. So the hunt started, however I see that you have got it. The star also seems to like you. Now you are my apprentice and I am your master. Now start by doing the sashtanga pranama to your master.”

Dheer did not hesitate; he quickly kneeled on the floor and did a sashtanga pranama.

“You did not actually participate in the starting rounds; still the final test is the main test. I am the judge so I already declared you as my apprentice. However it is not over yet. You need to earn the position with your hard work. You should not expect me to be there for your every trouble. You need to face the challenges and troubles, only then you will rise to the top.”

Then they started the lesson “Here take this book, it has types of metals, molds and basics of forging for beginners, you need to memorize them.”

“Master I know how to forge weapons, I already made some swords and knives at my home” said Dheer.

“Hahaha” Tvastr laughed. “Fine let me see your forging” he waved his hand, all the forging materials appeared before him.

Dheer took the materials and started forging. “Hmm not bad” he thought. After two hours of forging, Dheer made a curved sword.

Tvastr took it, and sliced through a tree, it cut through smoothly, then he waved his hand again. A rock appeared infront of him, Tvastr raised the sword and tried to cut. However as the blade touched the rock it broke.

Dheer was shocked, then disappointment appeared in his eyes.

Tvastr looked at Dheer, “do not get discouraged it’s a start for you, the times you fail will decide the success and quality of your make” said Tvastr. A small smiled appeared on his face. Dheer did not see it as he was looking down with disappointment.

“There is no shame in beginning from the scratch. You need to be focused and determined.”

Dheer raised his head and looked into Tvastr’s eyes “Master, thank you for your words. I will start from the beginning, I will not waver nor become proud.”
