Nathan walked along the streets at night, few cars visible. There was a cold, windblown rain falling upon the ground. He checked his phone, the time reading to be eleven at night. He sighed, walking a bit faster, as the rain kept pouring. Suddenly, he felt that same feeling from the two times before. He braced himself as he fell to his hands and knees, the headache and the cloudiness coming back to him. This time, though, he did not see the man with the gun. He saw a civilian, walking along the rain, near the Hilton hotel. They appeared to be a teenager, with nobody around them. Suddenly, a masked figure with a crowbar jumped them, and began to beat them to the ground, leaving no chance of life. Nathan's vision cleared and the feelings went away, as he rose to his feet quickly. He looked up, to spot the Hilton hotel not far from him. He began to run.
Leaping over shrubbery, he landed on his feet before coming to a stop. He looked up at a stone wall, at least eight feet tall. He jumped up, kicking his feet off of the lower part of the wall to grab the top. He then jumped down at the other side. He rushed forward, rain slapping against him. There was a clear, straight path to the Hotel, but looking further he spotted a masked figure with an object in hand closer to him. He became faster, running after them. The person stopped and looked at him as he grabbed them. They pushed him off, backing away. "What are you doing!?" the person shouted in confusion, holding an umbrella in their hand. Nathan backed up. "No, you're not...Of course. Sorry." he said, dashing off.
Nearby, a man ran behind the hotel, a crowbar in his hand. Nathan leaped over another bush, tripping a little when he landed. The man with the crowbar locked his gaze to an unsuspecting girl. He then ran towards her, raising his crowbar. Nathan spotted the man, running as fast as he could. The girl turned around, seeing the man with the crowbar as he swung it once. She was knocked to the ground, and hit once more in the knees. Nathan threw himself against the criminal, who gripped their weapon tightly. "No! I have to save her! I have to save you!" they yelled, bashing Nathan's shoulder with the crowbar. The girl struggled to get away, her knees badly injured. Nathan punched the man in the face once, before he was kicked off, and slammed in the side with the crowbar. "Call the police!" Nathan yelled, his voice strained from pain. The girl barely managed to get her phone out from its case, before turning it on and dialing 911. The man with the crowbar hit Nathan once more, in the back of his knee, causing him to fall over.
"911, what's your emergency?" a phone operator answered. The girl, in panic, struggled to speak. "There's...There's a man with...He has a weapon! He attacked me! He's beating a man!" she screamed. The call was being traced as fast as possible. "Okay, hold tight, there are officers coming to help you." the phone operator told the girl. "Okay, do you know what the man-" the operator's speech was cut off as the girl's phone was knocked out of her hand by the man. He raised his crowbar, before Nathan wrapped his arms around the man's stomach, pulling him to the side.
The man struggled to move, but Nathan kept a tight grip. The sound of sirens could be heard closing in, as the man shoved Nathan to the ground. He grabbed his crowbar from the ground and slammed it into Nathan's stomach. The police arrived, a few of them immediately leaving their vehicles. "Nathan!" shouted Chadwick, as he rushed to his aid. The criminal slammed his crowbar into Nathan's arm as Chadwick slammed the man's head with both fists. Nathan dragged himself to a wall and used it to slowly push himself up. Chadwick pulled his gun to the man's face. "Drop it, NOW!" he angrily commanded.
Nathan reached his hand out to Chadwick. "Chad...Get the gun away from him! Get it away!" he screamed. Chadwick remembered the lake attacker, quickly backing a few feet away. The man charged for Chadwick's gun, as he shot him two times in the torso. The man kept charging as if nothing had happened, and grabbed the gun, knocking Chadwick to the side. He then shot Chadwick in the leg, causing him to fall down. Some of the other officers ran for Chadwick, while the rest helped the girl up. Nathan grunted, pushing himself off of the wall and running for the criminal. Before Nathan could reach him, the man shot two of the officers helping the girl, and then the girl herself, in the head. "No! NO!" Nathan cried out. Chadwick's eyes widened upon seeing the girl get shot, as he reached his hand out. Nathan knocked the gun out of the murderer's hands, as it slid to Chadwick's feet. Nathan punched the man in the gut, as Chadwick shot him in the torso two more times. One of the bullets pierced his heart, causing him to fall to the ground.
Two more officers jogged over to Nathan and Chadwick, as ambulances were called and more police cars drove in. "I couldn't...I didn't..." Nathan looked at the ground, mumbling to himself. Chadwick was helped up by one of the officers, while others who arrived to the scene dealt with the bodies.
Chris showed up late, stepping out of his car. "What the..." he came to a loss of words. He slowly walked towards the group. Ambulances arrived at the scene, sirens going off around the people.
