I enter the kitchen. My dad is taking his food out of the microwave as he says "Danami..." By his tone I can already tell he's in a bad mood. "You're up early..." He continues. "Ugh, you're going to THAT guy again, aren't you?! You better not be going there!!" Shit, he really is in a bad mood, I need to come up with an excuse and fast! I can't just tell him I'm going to hang out with Devlin again... My brain is working overtime when all of a sudden I get an idea. The puppy! I can use him as an excuse. Or better yet, I can tell him I'm going out to see Soruya!!

"Actually dad..." I say with a calm voice "I'm going to help Soruya. She needs to find a dog's owner."

At least it isn't a lie. My dad's rage slowly fades away a bit. We eat our breakfast in silence and when I'm done I walk out of the kitchen, to our front door. I hear my dad yell "You better be back before it's dark! Or else..." as I open the door. "Ugh... Fine!!" I yell right back at him as I slam the door shut. I hate the fact how he's always trying to control my life. Part of me wishes I could just run away and never come back. However, that is not an option. I have no place to go besides Dev's, but that's just temporarely. If I do that, and my dad finds out, I'll be screwed...

"I warned you" I look up to see where it comes from, as I see Buddy sit on top of a lantern pole. I throw him a slight smile and say "I know Bud... It's not you I'm mad at." He flies with me as I head towards the spot I agreed to meet Devlin at. He's already there. "Hey Dana!" He yells excitedly. "Hey Dev..." I reply. His excitement is immediately gone after my reply. Worried he asks "Your parents again?" I take a deep breath and let out a heavy sigh. "Yeah... Oh well, let's go see the puppy." Part of me feels like I'm being followed again, but it's probably just a mix of anxiety and paranoia in my head. My dad has followed me before... I shrug off that idea, I'm sure it's nothing. We noticed some "FOUND" flyers of the puppy on our way to the vet's office. "That must be Soruya's work." I say to Devlin as we continue our way. We get there without any problems. I step inside and make my way to the recovery room to see the puppy again.

"Hey again, how are you today?" I say to the puppy. I carefully open the cage with my right hand. Devlin stands beside me and whispers a bunch of compliments to the puppy. I reach into the cage and try to pet the puppy when suddenly... He turns his head towards me and tries to bite me. In a reflex I quickly pull back my hand. Less than a second later I hear a loud SNAP! as his teeth land on each other again. "Dana!!" I hear Devlin scream out loud. "A-a-are you alright?" He asks, half frozen with fear. Shocked I step away from the cage. "What happened? I've never seen an animal attack you before..." He adds as he closes the cage before the puppy can do any more harm. "I... I don't know..." I say in confusion. "And yeah, I'm fine." It's true, something like this has never happened to me before. Or has it?... I don't know.

The bunny Daysey and the cat Simbaya seem to show agressive behavior aswell now. I move another step backwards as they seem to become less agressive. Hmm... I wonder, am I the reason their behavior changed? What happened to the 'you're a cute baby dragon that attracts animals' I think to myself, but honestly, I don't know what's going on...
