Nathan sat at his desk in the police department. He flipped through photos of the coffee shop attack on his computer, thinking. He clicked through the photos, finding nothing of importance. That was, until he clicked on the seventh photo. In the background of a shot from the exterior, somebody could be seen walking out of the back exit from the coffee shop. Nathan's curiosity peaked, and he hunted for more. The more photos he clicked, the more he found. On the tenth photo taken, a strange, blue glow could be seen behind the coffee shop.
Nathan made a realization; in every photo taken, Greg was missing from all but two. He took a few minutes to print the photos. When the photos finished printing out he grabbed them and shoved them in a yellow envelope. He shoved his chair back, quickly walking to find Gavin.
Gavin looked up from his computer as Nathan approached him, with a serious expression on his face, and a yellow envelope in his hand. "Gavin, car, now." he demanded. Gavin paused for a moment while Nathan walked by, confused. He then quickly got up and followed.
Nathan burst outside, walking rather swiftly. He got into his car, as Gavin caught up. Gavin opened the passenger side door and quickly slid in, closing it. "What is this about?" Gavin asked, extremely confused. Nathan started the engine, before turning his head to Gavin. "We're going to talk to Nancy Bird again." he said. Gavin looked shocked. "Why? There's no point, she gave us what she had!" he exclaimed. Nathan glared at him, before pulling out of the parking lot, and driving off. Gavin sighed and sunk into his seat.
While they were driving it began to rain very harshly. "Jeez, right now?" Gavin complained. Nathan turned on the windshield wipers, and kept driving. "Ten minutes 'til we reach her house." Nathan said, noticing the GPS. Gavin looked out of the window, a strange flash of blue light concentrated on the road coming into view for a moment.
Minutes passed, and their car pulled into Nancy Bird's driveway. She walked outside before they got out of the car, strangely. Nathan opened his car door, and was immediately greeted with the sound of her voice, yelling. "Leave! Leave now!" she shouted. Nathan glared at her and stood up. "What is that in your hand, what is it!?" she angrily questioned. He looked at the envelope in his hand, before his gaze shifted back to her. "Your husband is missing in the majority of the photos taken at the crime scene." he stated, with an intimidating edge to his voice. "Leave! This is my property! You can't be here!" she shouted once more. Nathan looked back to Gavin, who nodded. "Ma'am, I'm going to have to ask you to cooperate, if you do not, there will be complications. Tell us what you know." he pressured again. She looked at him, anger in her eyes for no apparent reason. "Are you threatening me!? I will call the police!" she retaliated. "Nancy, we ARE the police." he replied. She looked at him, and then to Gavin. Gavin seemed a bit intimidated by her glare.
Nathan coughed, insisting one last time. "This is your last chance. I don't want to take you in for questioning. Tell me what you know." he firmly said. She walked away, and went back inside of her house. She slammed the door shut. "Gavin, wait here, I'm going to-" Nathan paused, as he saw a faint blue glow from the windows of the house. He became lightheaded, falling to the ground. Gavin leaped out of the car door, rushing to the other side. "Nathan? Nathan, are you okay!?" he shouted, before his vision became blurry, and he blacked out.
