Teddy traversed the streets following the upperclassman who escorted Capella and Ria away. He worked to stay among the shadows to not draw any unwanted attention. "Where could he be taking them?" Teddy stopped to rest. After catching his breath, he continued to chase after the trio. They led him to the high school campus. "Why here?" He hid among the trees on the edge of campus and watched. They met up with a group of upperclassmen. "Tori's here?" After several minutes of them talking they all got up. Teddy jumped back when he realized they were gone, he had spaced out.
"What are you doing Saveli?" a familiar voice sneered. Teddy turned to see Reese standing, with his hands on his hips, leering down at him.
"Ah! Krisel?" Teddy jumped up to straighten his posture. Reese sighed and shook his head.
"Never mind, forget I asked." he groaned. He scanned Teddy over then stepped back. Teddy lowered his head and laughed nervously. Reese narrowed his eyes. "Things are finally falling into place." he glared at Teddy. "You better be ready when the operation begins." Reese clicked his tongue in disapproval and walked away. Teddy let out a relieved breath and turned back to the empty field. "Brother should be getting done with tryouts soon, I should head home before he catches me." Out of the corner of his eye, Teddy saw the group containing Capella and Ria meeting up with Aren. "Wait, what?" The group, now with Aren in tow, walked into the empty auditorium. Teddy approached a far window and looked in, feeling uneasy. "What's going on?" Teddy carefully inspected his older brother from afar. In front of the group stood Kori's brother. He gestured with his hands and talked, like he was giving an explanation about something. Suddenly a bright blue flash of light followed by a sign 'Cancer'. He wore pale blue and white swordsmen garb and produced a rapier in his right hand. On a belt about his waist was the same sign. "No...it can't be!" Teddy averted his eyes then hesitantly looked back through the window. This time Aren stood with Syrus. After some more talking and gestures, there was a red flash of light. 'Aries'. Teddy swallowed hard at the sight and grasped at an item in his pocket. Once the light faded, Aren stood by Syrus in golden armor and heroic clothing bearing the unmistakable symbol on his chest. He wore a prideful smile and lifted a large golden battle ax with his gloved hands. Teddy stepped away from the window in horror. "He...brother can't be...one of them?" he held back sobs. "This isn't how it's supposed to be!" He turned and ran off without looking back. "I can't fight my brother!" he choked back tears as he ran through the city. "This is all just a bad dream..." he futilely tried to expel the images from his mind. "It has to be!" Tears streamed down his face as he arrived at his house. He stopped to catch his breath and wipe his face before walking in. He was greeted by his parents at the door.
"How was school dear?" his mother asked. Teddy faked a smile without meeting her gaze and nodded.
"Fine, mother." he said in a sheepish voice. She smiled back and closed the door behind him. "Brother had basketball tryouts today..." his voice trailed off.
"That's nice dear." she said in a dismissive tone and continued doting over Teddy. "Have you decided what club you want to join?" Teddy hung his head, he couldn't take it anymore. He shook his head and walked toward his room. "Well you have time dear." she reassured. "We will support you no matter what you choose." Teddy gave a low growl. "What about your other son?"
"Yeah yeah..." he walked into his room and forcefully shut the door. He tossed his bag down then pulled out the object from his pocket. He threw it across the room. He sat curled up on his bed and buried his face in a blanket. His body shuttered as he began to cry again. "Is there nothing I can do to make my brother love me?" Teddy thought as he cursed his fate.
