Friendship - Part 4

Friendship - Part 4

Aug 03, 2018

After finishing the exams, I went to the cafeteria that was in front of our school. Axel and a couple of colleagues who were also worried about Alan joined us, and we asked for food to celebrate having done all the exams for that day. But everyone knew what I had in mind, and they were willing to help me get Alan out of his bad company.

-I understand what you think -said Axel-. But it will be difficult to make Alan listen to those words seriously.

-The words of that thought are something deep -Daniel, a friend of ours who was not as close as we were Alan, Axel and I, had come along with Rebecca, a friend of all the classmates of the school group, and who always tried to protect all our colleagues - but I think we need something strong for Alan to hear what you have to say.

-I think the real problem will be making him listen to the truths about Valery that he has refused to listen to all this time -Rebecca said-. As Alex had suggested, if we manage to make him listen to the truth about that girl, maybe we can get him back to the well-behaved boy he used to be.

Valery ... She was the source of Alan's problem. After meditating the night before, I thought about the thought of "The way" that was the first that Mr. Andrés taught me. Although at first I had trouble using the questions he taught me to use to get to the source of a problem, I thought several times about the origin of Alan's current behavior and I realized that Valery must have been the source of the problem.

Valery was a girl a year older than us whom Alan met at a party during our first year. Only Alan's close friends knew what had happened between the two of them: Valery played with Alan's feelings, and as a coup de grace he had said he was a "Simpleton" for his appearance and even a "Nerd" for being a boy ready with glasses. Those words had seriously hurt Alan at that moment because Alan was really attracted to Valery, but he had not thought that she was the source of Alan's problems for the time that had passed since that bad experience for Alan.

-I have an idea to make Alan listen –I said-, but I have no guarantee that he'll reflect on what I have to say.

-If you have the way to make it listen, I can burn the message to him brain if necessary –Rebecca looked very sure she could do it-.

-Well, it's not because of being pessimistic -Daniel left his soda on the table and crossed his arms-, but we also have no guarantee that the plan to take him to the park works.

-Believe me, it will work –I said-. We just have to worry that there is no one else in the park at that time.

-Well, I hope it works –said Axel-. If this does not put Alan's head in place, we may not be able to get back on foot in time for admission tests.

-That reminds me -Rebecca said-, have you already decided which university or university degree to take?

-Axel and I will go to the University of North –I said-.

-I chose medicine, and Alex will take Magisterial.

-Alex will take teaching?! –Exclaimed Rebecca in surprise, while Daniel spit his soda at full strength followed by a cough-. Is seriously?

-It's true –I said-. I thought about it after the visits to the university, and with Alan's situation, I think I would like to try to help those who have these problems in the future.

-Well you have luck when my children are your students –Daniel said jokingly-.

-But at least we'll continue to see each other if you too will take the exams from the north university –Rebecca said-. We two also want to get in there, and also several other members of our group.

-Being so, we must implement the plan this weekend –Said Axel-. The exams are in two months, and Alan must study by then if we want to avoid him being left behind.

-Well, let's hope he believes this little performance –I said-. Remember the plan:

We will make him believe that Axel and I are in danger and that a couple of assailants stabbed us in the park. We will put ropes around the trees like a fighting quadrilateral, but with enough height to avoid that it jumps and we will put vertical boards so that it cannot pass between the ropes. Once there, we can face it without escaping like when we tried to talk to him until now.

-Let's just hope this does not become a real fight –Daniel said-.
