I woke up shivering and drenched in sweat. “Ugh.” Just another nightmare. I got out of bed, showered, threw on a t-shirt and made my way through the hallway, out the front door, and onto the sidewalk. I needed to go for a run, clear my head. Just as I was turning onto the next street I saw a sack being thrown over me and I felt a smack on my head, then all went black.

I blinked my eyes. I noticed I was in a car. It was a really nice car, a limo. I also noticed I was handcuffed to the door. I yanked hard on the cuffs and pumped magic through them, they wouldn’t break, they must be magic proof. “What’s going on!” I yelled. I was seriously pissed at whoever did this, how dare they, didn’t they know who I was. “Who are you people and why did you kidnap me!” A middle-aged man with graying black hair in the passenger seat turned around to look at me. “I’m Jared.” He said. I scowled, I didn’t give a damn what his name was. “You’re Ash, right? “Yes.” I said wearily. “You mind explaining why you kidnapped me.” I said glaring at him. “Well, you know of Alek right?” “Yes.” I said rolling my eyes, everyone knows about him, especially me. After I explain this to you the world as you know it won’t exist anymore.” Jared said. “Um, ok.” I said, very confused, this guy was a complete idiot. “There are three worlds that are major realms of the universe that has life Earth, the Overworld, and Underworld. The Underworld has demons, Earth has humans, and the Overworld has angels. Neither species is good or bad, all species have good and bad in them like humans. With demons and angels, they have different groups within the species. Like the morai, seraphim, and gyo. Vasilisa, your mother was gyo and Zeke, your father was seraphim. So that makes you an aemon, which is half demon half angel.” He said. I stared at him with my mouth wide opened. “What?” I said completely baffled, how did he know all of this he looked human. Most humans didn’t know about the other worlds and no humans knew about my parents, they were very secretive and stayed hidden. Like most parent’s with aemon children, we were very rare and most being's wanted us dead, there were very few of us in the world. How did this human know? “Right now we are headed to the airport. From there we are flying to a remote island off the coast of Hawaii, you will be safe there. The rest of the aemons will be there too, there are 18 of you total. In a few hours, we will be at the airport, try to get some sleep.” Jared said. “Yeah” I mumbled still trying to process how a human new this and about me, well not all about me, obviously. I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep, there was nothing I could do since I was handcuffed with these magic depressing handcuffs, where had a freaking human gotten these!
