This room isn’t the biggest, with only a small chair at a desk with a huge display of screens above and around it. I sit in the chair swivel around a few times, then look at the screens. It doesn’t seem like any security cameras are inside the rooms, since the screens only show hallways. I watch for a little while, but as it turns out unmoving screens are very boring to stare at, so after a couple minutes I start to doze off. I snap awake, though, when I hear voices approaching. I creep behind the still-open door and lay in wait. The guy from before left the key to this room in the door, so I reach around and take it before they come into sight. When the two people, a tall woman and a short guy, enter the room unsuspecting, they don’t realize until their argument dies down that the door to the cell is open. Slowly they turn around to scan the room, but by time their gazes reaches me I’m already out through the door and closing it behind me. I giggle when I peek through the door’s window to see their panicked expressions as they hear the key turn in the lock. I’m guessing neither of them have a copy. I just hope there isn’t a spare laying around. Ok, now what? I need to make sure they can’t follow me, but they have access to the cameras. There aren’t security cameras in any rooms, right? So if I hide in one I’ll have a better chance to catch them by surprise. I take off down the hall, then turn right at the third junction. I run down a similar hallway a little bit, but then the hallway ends and turns into a room filled with cakes. Is this a dream? Oh wait, it is. Sometimes it’s easy to forget, even with all the madness. I reach out and take a swipe from one of the beautifully decorated cakes, and to my surprise it tastes like cream cheese frosting instead of the usual sugar-loaded cake frosting. Well, I’m not complaining. I look around for a plate and utensils, and see along a wall there’s a table with a line-up of plates and silverware. I grab a plate, fork, and knife, then go back to the cakes and cut myself a generous portion from the one I swiped from. As I bite into the rich dark chocolate cake, I freeze as I realize that I completely forgot about the chase. There’s something about this rooms that makes you want to sit down and relax while eating the best cake ever. Maybe it’s something in the air, or it’s just the effects of smelling extremely good cake and being free to eat without judgement. Well, couldn’t hurt to relax and have a couple more bites. I eat some more and start to get a little sleepier, and as my head rolls to the side in tiredness I catch sight of a skull.
Wait, what? I quickly snap out of my sleepy daze and take a closer look, seeing that there’s a whole skeleton sitting in a chair a couple feet away from me. How did I not see it earlier? I stand up from my chair start walking towards the door, but my legs give out from under me as a wave of exhaustion sweeps over me. I think I know how the skeleton got there. It used to be a person, but they had a bit too much of this sleepy cake. How much did I eat, two, three bites? Wow, that’s some drug they got in there. I try to fight the tiredness, but it starts to overwhelm me after resisting for a couple minutes. A short nap wouldn’t hurt, right?
