As I was walking towards the bus stop, the sun was setting. The sunset tonight was brilliant shades of orange and red, with dark grey storm clouds rolling in for the upcoming storm. However, this is not my story to tell at the moment.

I stood in front of the Ruler at their feet, staring up at their glowing face 10 feet above me.
"I swear I didn't mean to do that, it was an accident, for self defense!" I shouted, pleading my innocence.
The Ruler spoke out, and through the mix of garbled incoherent words I heard them say,
"I DO NOT BELIEVE YOU. THAT WAS NOT AN ACT OF SELF DEFENSE."
"It was! I didn't mean to harm him!" I shouted, again, this time with tears starting to stream down my face both from the fact I was afraid and how bright the Ruler actually glowed. My hair had come out of its pony tail and has begun to stick to my face from the tears.
The clouds of Haven grew darker as the Ruler shouted, coherent for once,
"YOU ARE NOT FIT FOR HAVEN."
And they waved their hand above me and banished me from Haven.
The fall from Haven to Earth was a lot longer than I expected. The tears had dried by now and my wings ached as I fell. I couldn't muster up the energy to just soar across the sky, so, I just let myself fall down into the field below me.
I didn't realize that I had made a mistake until I fell right onto my wings. Now normally, that wouldn't have hurt if I had fallen in Haven. It almost felt as if my wing were more than a manifestation of light here on Earth – but its not like I could go back to Haven. Who knows what would happen! I had heard of fallen angels getting executed to a place unknown to humans, demons, or angels. I've heard whispers around Haven that its known as Purgatory, but no one knows if that's an official thing or not. Sometimes you can even hear the whispers of the angels and demons that got executed.
My wings ached, I ached, my hair was covered in dirt but beside all that, I was doing just fine. I had stood up to stretch after falling but I sat down in the field as the sun set in the distance, orange but turning red as it sunk lower on the horizon. Grey storm clouds pushed their way onto the bright orange sunset.
As the clouds began to cover the setting sun, a cool breeze washed over the field. It then began to storm. All complete with thunder and lighting. The rain was cold to my skin as I lay in the mud covered grass, my hair spread out in a small patch of mud in the midst of the grass. But despite all this, I manage to get some rest.
I woke to find the tip of a rifle pointed at my face.
" Who are you and what are you doin' in my field?!" yelled a man in jean overalls.
"It's hard to explain sir. Please, just let me be on my way."
"No! You darn teenagers, thinkin' you can just go sleepin' in any old field whenever you please. Tell me why or I'll shoot ya!"
"I'm afraid that I can't tell you sir."
"I wasn't lying! I'll shoot ya right in the head!"
"Go right ahead sir. It makes no difference to me."
The man pointed the rifle against my temple and pulled the trigger.
The bullet ripped through my skin and bone, through my brain, and out (like a bullet does.)
But I accidently had fucked up in remember what happens when an angel gets shot.
I fell to the ground, my head bleeding. Now, of course, my blood isn't red where the fuck would you get that.
But the man didn't notice the gold blood pouring out and pooling on the ground.
"Hmph, you got what ya deserved for trespassin' on my private property." Said the man in the overalls as he walked away, leaving my body on the ground.
Now don't be worried I'm not in the slightest bit dead. How could someone who already died die again? That just doesn't make sense.
However, angels and demons do go through different things when they get shot / fatally wounded. With demons, their human forms are synthetic – their basically magic – so wounds mend themselves together by forming new skin and bone. With angels however, the only thing that we hide is our wings, so our bodies are immortal but they are still physical (but I don't really feel pain, which is good.) We bleed gold, which is probably called ichor or something, and our wounds slowly heal.
So this is going to take a while.
After approximately 7 hours of laying in a muddy field and bleeding, the wound had finally fucking closed for the most part. I had a pretty bad headache though, but I thought that I should head out of the field by now. The sun was just overhead – it was about noon at the moment on a nice, fall day . I wasn't quite sure how far I was away from a city or town – not that I should enter a town with a weird looking hole on the side of my head (it had stopped bleeding but it was still closing). I shouldn't enter with my wings showing anyways, but I didn't have the energy to hide them at the moment. After about an hour of walking, I stopped to rest.
I was still in the field, yes, but I could see buildings in the distance from where I sat. My head still hurt and honestly, everything hurt. But most of all my wings hurt. I was sitting on the ground, my hair still caked with mud and grass, with my wings wrapped around me to shield me from the cold wind that blew across the field. Normally the feathers of my wings are a soft, pastel orange – but now they had started to loose their pastel color and began to blacken. It was starting at the tips and working its up each wing – the tips of the wings were a bright, vivid orange now though. The feathers textures changed too – thing of normal angels wings feeling like dove feathers while a fallen angels wings feeling like a crows feathers. Now besides their touch and color my wings hadn't changed much, but they were a lot sleeker than they were before.
Once it hit about 2:30, I headed off walking again. I wasn't sure how long it was going to take me to get to the city, but I also didn't want to fly. With my wings the way they are it probably isn't a good idea anyways.
As the city came almost into view, I ran into someone.
Literally. I walked right into someone and we both fell and hit the ground. I stood up and offered the girl a hand. But instead of taking my hand, she pointed a gun at me.
"Okay who are you?" she asked, looking not only at my face but my clothing too along with my wings.
"I'm Lexus, Lexus Sirindit. Nice too meet you." I said, trying to avoid getting shot this time.
"And you are? That's not giving me much information Lexus." She said.
"Oh I'm a, uh, fallen angel. I've only been here like two days please don't shoot me."
"Fallen angel huh? What did you do to get banished from Haven?" she replied, to my surprise. She looked like an ordinary girl, with a yellow crop top, grey shorts ,and sandals. Her hair was shoulder-length and black, part of her hair parted to drape over her shoulder. Then again, I didn't look too different. I wore an orange tee-shirt with yellow and red stripped long sleeves. I wore ripped jeans (at least they ripped from the fall) and a pair of dark blue flip flops. My hair was down to the middle of my back at the moment, as my pony tail had fallen out a while ago.
"I shot a guy. But it was out of self defense, I swear!!"
"I believe ya man, I believe ya. Nice to me 'cha, I'm Elvrya. Elvrya Hueyt."
"Nice to meet you too, Elvrya."
She got up and we started to walk together to the city.
"So Elvrya, may I ask why you're here? What you are?"
"Oh I'm a demon Lexus. I'm part of the Human by Demon Protection Program, or HDPP for short."
"Oh! Okay, yeah, I did that once. Haven has a similar system, HAPP (Human by Angel Protection Program). "
"Oh that's cool! I figured that Haven would have something like that as well. Say Lexus, why'd you shoot that guy? It was self defense, right?"
"I was out with the kid I was protecting and it was late at night. We were walking to her house when a guy grabbed her out of nowhere. He wouldn't let her get away. So I shot the guy to save her. I did my job and I protected the human I was assigned to."
"But Ruler wouldn't let it by, would they?"
"No, they told me that it didn't matter if it was self defense and that I "wasn't fit for Haven"'.
"Oh wow, that's harsh. I've done similar shit but UnderWorld's Ruler lets self defense slide."
"Nice."
We walked in mostly silence the rest of the way, which was like 15 minutes. As we entered, we passed by a sign that said "Welcome to Villanova, Pennsylvania." So I would assume that's where we were.
"Hey Elvrya, what are you doing here? Like, how come I ran into you back at the field?
"I was assigned to a new kid in a nearby town. I have a friend who's kid is here and he's coming back from Pittsburgh soon, so I figured I would stop and say hi."
"Oooh, okay, yeah that makes sense."
It took us a bit to find the house of Elvrya's friend. It was a victorian style home, with a triangular window at the top.
Elvrya walked up to the door and knocked on it. A guy in a red shirt with a black tie opened the door.
