“Ok?” She climbed on and before getting a good enough grip Kami lunged into the air, “hmm.. With you on I can only go 37½ feet.” He landed on a building, “run 7 miles per hour,” he leaped off a building, and landed back on the floor, and land 35 feet before my joints hurt. I think I can make it.”
Kami dropped Amy, “Just a test run, you run horribly slow.”
“Well that’s mean…”
“Also, how long have we been here?”
“4 weeks, 4 days, but-”
“Perfect! We are busting the hell outta here tomorrow, and tomorrow is our only chance so please listen to me.”
“Why?”
“The owl told me. Yes. It did.” I hooted as a response.
Later that night Kami went halfway to bed again while.
“Should I listen to him?” Amy said with a worrying voice. I nodded ‘yes as a response.’ “Are you sure.” I violently jerked my head up and down. “OK then, now do you know what his plan is?”
I flew up. Then back down. Showing nothing, but giving everything away. Amy looked at me in silence.
The clock was ticking, early the next morning, Kami told Amy to look around for random object that had something distinct and memorable. Kami went back up the the roof and grabbed the plastic bag. “Here carry everything in here. Now the plan is, I go off and follow the dude/ett until something happens, I am going to drop the scattered items along the way to find my way back to you so the more the merrier. Also don't go looking for me, ask the owl if it is a very long time. Put all your trust in the owl. Now repeat back the plan.”
Amy took a deep breath, then sighed, “You are going to chase the chips bag man, I don't follow, trust the owl, you are going to leave marks on the way to find me. Then, I'm guessing, we go to the location and follow.”
“Good! Not in order, but good. Now I am going to sit on the roof, act normal. And DO NOT! Do ANYTHING dumb! This is our only chance got it?”
Kami jumped up onto the roof.
5 minutes.
4 minutes.
He could see the man coming from a far away corner hiding from his sight.
2 minutes.
1 minute.
15 seconds.
Amy trying to stay calm decided to fake sleep facing the other way.
As per usual, the man jogged along.
5 seconds.
He pulled out the chips.
2 seconds.
1 second.
He threw the chips just like before and ran along. Kami chasing his former self, trying to stay in the same spot, which worked last time. He left the stuff behind giving him a little drag.
He made it to the end, he put in the passcode. 5483. It opened, but it was different from last time, which was 3384. He let it slide. He got the number. Sprinting back with glee on his face. He yelled, “come on let's go!” Amy climbed on happily, “but what about Tomec?” Amy said. “Its fine, it probably will go back because time will most likely work again if I am correct.” He started off, “ok,” Amy said with a sad look on her face.
Kami was on the first building, “now from here on out don't say a peep not even as a reply.” Amy looked up and down as an OK. Two more buildings pass. Still following the track.
It soon led to an end.
Kami jumped off the last building trying to take as many steps as possible to quiet down the landing. He let Amy down putting his index finger towards his lips for silence. He went for the code. 5483. It opened. It was the same as before. Glass, ripped out appliances. Both instinctively went to the back. Again the empty mortuary. This time no gas came. And they kept moving.
Another ominous wind came just like before. And then both fell.
They landed in a bed. This time slightly bigger than before, probably now a queen.
“This is cozy.” Amy mouthed towards Kami. There was a dim light, coming from nowhere.
A hoot echoed throughout the surrounding area. Both of them turned my way, I repeating almost the same words as before, “We meet again. Kami Origami, and Amy Wright.” I done the same as before, Amy looking shocked, Kami completely unfazed.
“Congratulations on escaping! You are free to go!”
“Release them. Kami said, pulling off the bed cover. And Allen to, bring him back.”
“Ah~! Nice. Clever as ever Mr. Origami. I am quite impressed you didn't forget.”
“Allen?” Amy asked wishing nothing came out of her mouth. “Haven't you have noticed that one of us went missing? Go back to the day when everything started, August 16th. How many GL’s were there?”
“Six…” Amy replied wondering where this was leading her, “and how many are us now?”
“That's easy! Six.”
“Count.”
“OK, I guess. There is me, you, Anthony, Lucas, and,... Amy. 5?”
“And Allen, something happened on all of our behalves. Which was unintentional, that can't be fixed..” He scratched the back of his head, “Only Comet, can fix that..” Kami said this with a twitched tone
“I have never seen this side of him…” Amy thought.
“Don't dig in other people's business. Many consequences are to come if so, I am warning you.”
Amy stayed silent, then I spoke aloud, “Ok, I will restore everything, but Kami, afterwords. I know you have things to say.”
Kami made a small tsk. He spit on the floor.
“Leave me alone..” He looked right and toward the floor away from everyone.
With a snap of my fingers, Allen landed from a 3 inch drop right by Amy. Kami studying my movements. To him, he saw me, me. And to Amy, seeing the same woman as before.
I went over to the bed, off the sheet fully, and Angie, Lucas, and Anthony went back to normal. “So the trick was to pull off the sheet all the way.” Kami thought directing his thought as raw away from me as possible, “I only done it halfway.”
“A keen one you have become Kami."
Another tsk came from Kami.
Amy felt in an awkward position, possibility if she was left out. “Everyone, no need to feel weird, Kami here just needs some time to return back to his former self. I know you noticed it. Kami doesn't act normal like you. We have some rather, personal, business you may call it, to handle. So now if you will excuse us.”
I sent everyone home. Except Amy, she was left $500 dollars and had to make a living off of it for the rest of her life, but it was better than nothing.
