One minute Harry was being beaten for who knows what, the next they were going into Harry's room. There was a house elf jumping on his bed.
Voldemort was unimpressed, until he saw the house elf breaking the rules (something the man always encouraged.) Tom got really excited when Dobby levitated the cake. "Oh, this is gonna be good." Harry smacked his shoulder playfully. "It's not funny. They put bars on my windows for this." Voldemort shushed Harry. "Spoilers." He said before returning to watch gleefully. Harry pouted after that. Mumbling about how his life isn't just some movie series for people to watch.
After the cake dropped Voldemort acted like his favorite team just won Quittage. "Yes! Ha! Finally!" Harry was still busy pouting. Tom sighed and ruffled the boys already disastrous hair. "Come on, you didn't find any joy in that?" He asked. Harry sighed. "I would have if it was Vernon." Even Tom had to agree with that.
After a near death beating, little Harry was lying in bed trying to heal himself. While the beatings were hard enough to watch, Voldemort found that watching Harry's feeble attempts at healing through his muffled sobs were the hardest to endure. He just wanted to give him a hug. So he did.
It was night now. Ron and the twins came to rescue Harry. Voldemort cheered louder than a soccer mom at her son's first game when Vernon fell out the window. This cause Harry to laugh, hard. Tom looked at Harry, still proud of what he just saw. He was even happier when he saw Harry smiling. Get swept away he picked Harry up and spun him around. They both laughed, that is, until they realized the situation. They separated awkwardly and moved on to the next memory.
Voldemort had never actually met Molly. He was surprised as he watched her scold her kids and console Harry. He laughed at Ginny, but stopped when he received a disapproving glare from Harry.
The whole Weasley time really was nice. He liked to see little Harry generally smile. The light in his green eyes was like a warm fire. Tom loved it.
At the train station Voldemort couldn't help but wonder why the gate closed. When Harry explained that is was Dobby, he held back a snicker. Tom was beginning to like Dobby.
Up, up, and away. The two boys stole the car and drove off. Tom supported this happily. Next thing they knew they were being scolded by Snape and the others.
