As planned, Harry obliviated Tom, leaving a few choice memories. Oblivion is just the suppression of memories. The war was called off and Voldemort was put on trial. Most of his followers were put in Azkaban.
Voldemort was originally going to be put to death, but the matter of oblivion has always been a touchy subject in the courtroom. There is also to matter of Harry Potter. Being the boy who lived and the one to obliviate the dark lord, Harry has a fair amount of influence of what happens to him.
Everyone wanted him dead. Imprisoned. Tortured. But in the end, Harry Potter is the one who would make all the difference.
"I obliviated Voldemort, yes. Why? Because after all he's done. After everything that's happened I saw something in his eyes. I can't explain it. Even if I could, it wouldn't matter. So, I bring the ultimate form of proof. Voldemort's core. His truest self."
Tom proved to be kind and caring. He had a big heart when it wasn't covered in scales. His was genuinely a good person.
After weeks of hard debate, a conclusion was made. "We will allow Voldemort a second chance, under one condition. You, Harry James Potter, will take care of him and become responsible for him. Do you accept these terms?" "I do." Harry said, proud he won. It took weeks of hard debate and politics to get them here. Finally, Tom Riddle, was a free man.
Harry took Tom the only place he could. The safe house. The house of black. Harry walked in feeling giddy with a giggling Tom behind him.
"Surprise!" Everyone shouted. A big baner said welcome home. Harry was surprised for sure. What was all this? "Welcome home Harry." Hermione said. "What do you mean?" "Didn't you know? Legally, the house of black belonged to Serious after his brother died. After he passed it was left to the next in line. Harry, this is your home." As the thought of a home was all to suddenly crashing down on Harry, he looked around.
Lupin, Fred, George, EVERYONE. They were all here. He wasn't alone. Harry felt tears start to come to his eyes. And for the first time in a while, he let them come. Tear after tear fell. Tom saw this and took Harry into his arms, to everyone's surprise.
You see, the last couple of weeks, the courtroom wasn't the only people he was trying to convince that Voldemort was okay. He pled his case to those who loved him too. At first, most were against it. But one by one they said okay. Obviously not everyone trusted the man, but even they could see something was different, so they left it be.
Harry smiled up at Tom. He smiled. "I'm okay Tom." Tom smiled and nodded, letting his grip losen. Harry turned around at joined the celebration. Speeches were said, toasts were made, and everything seemed perfect. Then, Tom stood up.
"I just wanted to say something real quick. First, I want to start off with, I'm sorry. To everyone. I've been told what I did and I still don't understand how or what happened to me. I am so very sorry and I hope I can try to make it up to each and everyone one of you in any way I can... Now, Harry. You obliviated most of my memories. And while most seem kind if simple and meaninglessness, there is something I remember that I want to share with you now." Tom raised his wand, his old wand and muttered some spell.
All of the green snake like skin melted away. In its place stood a very handsome man. Tom Riddle. Very human and amazing. The whole room was silent. "It was all just an illusion latched onto my magical core." Harry smiled and gave Tom a big hug. "You know I don't care how you look right?" Tom chuckled. "Yeah, but I thought you'd like the real me instead." They smiled at each other and some people cheered
After the party, everybody headed home. Harry lifted the obliviation off of Tom. They both blushed as memories came flooding back. Harry decided he'd sleep in the room next to Sirius's old room. "You can sleep in any room." Harry said. Ever since the war ended Tom found himself being separated from Harry for a lot of the time. And, especially now that he had his memories back, he only wanted to be near the boy. He stood in the door awkwardly. Harry saw him.
Doing the whole understanding each other thing they do, Harry gestured for Tom to come over. "Just for tonight." Harry said.
Neither of them slept, the awkward tension was just too much. Finally Tom sat up and Harry followed. He was nervous. "H-hey. Um, Harry?" "Yes?" Harry answered. "C-could I, um - try som- something?" Harry was a little worried, but nodded. Tom looked Harry in the eyes. For the first time, Harry understood what Tom meant when he said he saw a light.
There was a flame in Toms eyes now. It shook with uncertainty but Potter knew what it was. Passion.
Gently, almost not at all, Tom's lips brushed against Harry's. Harry felt something. Like a spark. And Tom happily watched a whole fire start in Harry's eyes. Neither knew who moved first, but their lips met again. And again. And again.
Harry let himself be pushed down onto the bed as Tom lay overtop of him. After a few deep, passionate kisses, Harry gasped for air as Tom littered his jawline with kisses. Then his neck, slowly making his way down to the boy's collarbone. Then he stopped. Looked at Harry. He knew what he wanted. Harry stopped a moment to think before nodding yes.
Tom eagerly lifted the boy's shirt off and covered his whole body in kisses. It wasn't until his lips found Harry's nipples that the boy was in trouble.
The night continued on how you expect. The rest of their lives were like that. Tom released information on how to get rid of the dark mark. Harry became an Aurora. The rest of their lives were filled with uncharacteristic peace. Sure there were haters and people trying to kill them but what else is new?
