The only time a hunt took place was for the unregistered vampires. Other than that they had every address and location of the rest. Thanks to the “citizen registration” that took place in 2930. President Fisher wanted to everything as public as possible. As to show the people that he had every intention of keeping his promises. News teams and reporters broadcasted people getting ripped out of their homes. Some of them beaten in the streets by angry mobs. They no longer feared us, they hated us to the point of wanted us dead.
My parents lived in Brooklyn so they were to taken to Sigma (σ). When my mothers arrived they were 2 out of 73 people. The place wasn't meant to hold that many but they made due. The houses, if you could call them that, were the bear minimum. Thin cardboard like walls with grass floors and wooden windows. If your “house” didn’t leak or blow away with the wind you were lucky. A small load of necessities were shipped in every week, so there was a small store, a hospital, and even a school. They had farms for the fruits and vegetables and livestock that they used for blood.
That was just the beginning. After about two years they started to go mad. A group ganged up on a guard and killed him in a blood lust so shit hit the metaphorical fan. The deliveries stop coming and the people suffered. After two weeks shelves where empty and the livestock started to die out from starvation or sickness. This caused dehydration to become a prominent problem as many would end up turning on each other. Those conditions lasted for four long years. That's when Fisher was voted out and Donna Smith became president.
Most people forgot about the guard incident and went on with their daily lives. Because of that they were able to import supplies and slowly rebuild the small camp they had destroyed. This is where the history ends and the story gets interesting.
