I looked down at the paper before me. To Prince Seth, King Raja has required your presence immediately. I huffed, way to be formal father. I stalked out of my cave and took off into the sky, beating my wings hard, soon the palace was in view, the glittering silver outiror, adorned with gems. I sped into the entrance, then landed, and walked to the throne room, where my father was sitting, next to my mother. I bowed before them. You requested my presence, father? I said, sending him the thought, we couldn’t actually speak when we were in this form, so we sent thoughts. My father’s cold eyes found mine. Yes, son, come forward, there are very important matters to be discussed. I hesitantly moved forward, till I stood right before him. You remember the prophecy, right? I nodded, everyone knew, I mean how could you forget when it was the destruction of our kind. Son I am giving you the privileged task to retrieve the human from Earth and bring it back, so I can kill it. I sucked in a deep breath, this was a big task, and I didn’t like being in my human form, but this was my chance to prove myself to my father, make him proud for once in my life. Of course father, when would you like me to set out? Tomorrow and your sister will be going with you, it’s time you both learned the ways of the humans, as all Draekons do. I nodded, bowed, then turned around. Once I reached the gates I took off, flying fast, back to my cave, I landed in the dimly lit hole in the side of the mountain, I walked over to my sleeping area and curled up on the cool ground. I wondered what Earth was like, I hadn’t been there yet, eventually, all Draekon’s had to go, I was going to wait at least another decade, but I could never disobey my father. I felt a little sorry for the human in the prophecy, I was going to bring it back here just so it could be killed, but since it was going to destroy our race, it deserved to die.
