Lei Mengxiang had been walking down the corridors of the grand palace of the Heavens. The brightness of the lights below her feet and to the sides of her had made her glow, illuminating the color of her flowing red hanfu.

Her hair was loosely done. Nothing really special with her jet black hair besides a simple hair pin. The hair pin was a white jasmine flower that stood out in her hair.

Jin Guangming was currently away from heaven for a bit due to a minor war. Lei Mengxiang had used this to her advantage and had a Goddess bring her up to the Heavens.

Each step she had taken were filled with grief and startling. Her hair flowed behind her.

She had finally reached the heavenly court. Her feet against the red hanfu had risen up when she had to cross the threshold. The Jade Emperor was sitting on his golden throne that was embezzled with gems and diamonds.

"This mere mortal, greets your majesty." Lei Mengxiang had gotten on her knees and bowed.

Amused, the Jade Emperor had smiled. "So this is how mortals greet their emperor, huh? How intriguing."

The mortal in red had gotten off her knees. She stood and had a motive to come to the Heavens. "Your Majesty, you should know that Jin Guangming is color blind, yes?"

"He was born colorblind 7,000 years ago."

Lei Mengxiang couldn't even break the truth to his majesty. How could she tell that her husband was slowly going blind?

"Jin Guangming he-" Lei Mengxiang could barely get it out of her throat. "He is slowly losing his vision."

The Jade Emperor had only clenched his fists and pinched his nose bridge. He knew that this nephew of his wasn't gonna last long in the mortal realm. His immortal essence was different than others. The secret that no one knows.

His mother had loved a mortal man.

The mortal man had already passed away due to a petty war between states. His mother was devastated and hid behind the walls of her heavenly palace. Jin Guangming was left in the Jade Emperor's hands.

Because he was a half mortal and half immortal, his birth defect was his eyes. The medicine king had tried his best but he was still colorblind.

Lei Mengxiang had troubles getting the words out of her mouth. Her eyes were teary and made her look pitiful. She had held onto the one thing that he gave her. It was a red and white fragrant pouch that hung down from the waist.

Before the Jade Emperor could respond Lei Mengxiang had spoken. "Can you do me a favor and take out my eyes to replace his?"

Luckily the Jade Emperor knew that the Medicine King knew these type of medical arts.

Since Jin Guangming was a half mortal, her eyes could help his. Or at least replace it. The Jade Emperor had only just thought to himself, How sad.

"If I allow this, Jin Guangming would never look at me as his uncle anymore, but yet the court is yet to find out about his affairs with a mortal." The emperor's eyes started tearing a bit. "The court would want your death."

The red mortal had smiled bitterly. "Thank you, your majesty."

She had bowed one last time to the well respected Jade Emperor. Lei Mengxiang had faced the golden gates of the courts and was going to leave. She turned around suddenly as if She forgot to say something important.

"Your Majesty, may I be impudent and ask another favor?" She had dry tearstained cheeks.

The Emperor had nodded.

"Jin Guangming knowing these matters, is inevitable. However can you tell him that the courts had wanted my eyes?"

The old man in his throne was saddened. He only nodded so he wouldnt scream of sobbing.

"Then, now I will really go this time." These bitter words had came our of her mouth.

The lady in red had looked like a sad willow branch in the wind when she left the Heavenly court.

Her eyes replacing his, his heart not replacing her.
