We left our cell. The smell of humans got intense. Bob told me to stay calm. Hard task. The alb and varg got unchained, while I was drooling. These humans looked so stupid. It would take no time to slaughter them, no one would have the time to scream.
The trio got their own weapons and stuff from the storage room at the end of the cells tract. They even took their time to arm the other mortals. I had my own natural weapons.
The ladder was the only way up. Bob got ready to cast – mortal magic usage, pretty primitive. The alb got her bow, and the varg a kind of short sword.
Bob opened the big trapdoor.
Fresh air. Immediately, I felt better, stronger. I had to restrain myself not to stretch my wings.
The camp was peacefully quiet. A big campfire was burning in the center, with a dozen tents around it. Just four schemes sat around the fire, talking.
They didn’t noticed us as we sneaked towards the palisade, but as we gathered at the wooden construction, one of them jumped up, yelled something unintelligible and pointed at us.
