After walking half a mile from where they parked the agency car, they arrived at the spot. The entire area had been evacuated already. They stood there looking, listening for something. Anything. "Where's he at?" John asked. Parker didn't hear. His instincts took over again.
Parker crouched behind cover, pulling John down with him. Just as a gun shot whizzed next to them. "Holy sh-!" Parker covered his mouth.
"Shhh." Parker had already checked all the rooftops. 'Where the hell was The Hunter?' he thought. He looked over at another barricade in front of them to the left and there he was, Marus himself, with a bodyguard on each side. BOOM. You could hear the gunshot echo off of buildings. Before either could react, a red mist of blood sprayed from the middle of one of the guards heads.
'How the hell?' Parker thought . John looked in the windows of the buildings. Nothing. Another shot. This time hitting the other bodyguard through the side of the head. It wasn't adding up. "We need to move to Marus." Parker whispered, getting ready to move. John nodded in agreement. They sprinted at once. "Who the hell are you two?" Marus whispered angrily.
"The Government sent us. You owe us." John said. Parker covered John's mouth. "Sorry, he doesn't know what he's talking about." "Unbelievable. The world's richest man is being shot at, and they send amateurs. Are you going to get me out of here or what?" Marus asked. "Yes just give me a moment to think."
As Parker sat there and thought he was blinded by a glint of light. He moved his hand over his eye, but then noticed where the light was coming from. It was a mirror attached to the wall. He looked around to confirm his suspicions and there was another mirror at an angle. He saw another at a different angle. He was using the mirrors. He looked in one of them and saw a figure on top of a building. 'He's using the mirrors to see us from several angles.' Parker realized.
"I have a thought." He said, no longer whispering. "Do tell." Said John, curious as to why they were no longer whispering. Parker wiped the sweat from his brow. "I think the sniper is using mirrors to his advantage." John looked around and saw the same thing. "Nice observation, but I've also been having a thought. What if this sniper wasn't near by? What if he was 1, no 2, no even 5 miles away doing this?" John began, looking a bit more nervous than before. "How is that possible?" Parker asked. "The real question: How do we take him out?" John said, punching his hand.
"That's not our primary objective. Protecting Marus comes first." Parker corrected. "Well we're gonna have to take him out in order to do that!" John exclaimed. "Maybe we don't. If you give me a second, I can do the math and find out where he is."
Parker then saw a shard of a mirror on the ground and picked it up. "I can use this broken mirror shard to blind him, then you two make a run for it. What do you think?" Parker finished. "Good idea!" John said. "You two finished? Good. Who knows who this psycho could shoot next." Marus said. "Probably you. Any enemies Mr. Marus?" Parker said as he picked up a mirror shard. "Heh, that's a long list Mr..." "Hay. Parker Hay sir. This is Jonathan Smith." He said shaking his hand, Jonathan following him.

2 minutes have passed and they haven't budged. John was starting to worry that Parker couldn't find him. Just as this thought was going through his head, Parker spoke. "I found him. He's in the 5th tallest building in the city. Looks like you were right John, he's about 3 miles away." "How the hell did you get all that?" John asked, stunned. "I stayed awake in geometry. Get ready to sprint across the street on my go." Retorted Parker. John only nodded in understanding. Parker counted down.

"NOW!"
For Marus and John, it went too fast for them to know what happened between one end of the street and the other but when they made it, John turned around. He saw Parker flashing the mirror at the sniper while running. Everything was going smoother than expected.
BANG
One shot hits Parker directly in his chest. Parker just stood there, not moving. Completely still.
