Parker, John, and Darkrye where all sitting in a conference room. They were waiting for the chief. He had said he was going to tell them about what happened. Every time he closed his eyes, he could see it. Everytime he could see it, his side hurt. Even worse, he's started having black outs and time gaps. He couldn't begin to explain it. He sighed and opened his eyes. He looked at John. Something was off about him. His hair was messier than usual. He had dark circles under his eyes. "You ok?" John flinched at Parker's words. "Yeah. I'm fine." He said. There was almost no emotion in his voice. Before Parker could say anything else, The Chief came in and sat down. "Gentlemen." He said, folding his hands. "The massacre 2 days ago was done by the Red Robes trying to get their leader back, whom we had in custody. They killed anyone in their way. Our guess is Red was controlling them."

"But why would he do that? He's never shown interest in taking down our agency." John pointed out. "Well the evidence shows otherwise." The chief looked at Parker. "What the hell happened to you during the interrogation?" Parker just sat there, looking at his hands. He didn't say anything.

"Ok here's what's going to happen. You, and Darkrye are going to go on a mission. John will stay behind for training, so we're sending Suzy with you." The Chief said. The three nodded. John's been training a lot lately. It had been 2 weeks since the attack and John hasn't been to many missions. Perhaps to get stronger than when the massacre took place. It's mostly been Parker and Darkrye. He's scared for Lucy coming with him. Its not that she couldn't hold her own. It was just...he didn't know. "What's the mission?" Suzy asked, she seemed very excited. Very understandable seeing as this was her first mission. She had always been sort of a secretary here. Parker hated it. She was amazing in the academy. Now she was sitting at a desk with her long curly hair in a ponytail and she had on her big circle glasses. The hell was wrong with these people?

"Your assignment is this: This is Andrew Flair. He's a super genius who recently started creating machines that generate blasts of energy that brings it's target's core temperature to below 0." The Chief began. "So basically it's a freeze ray?" Darkrye asked. The Chief sighed. "Yes, it's a freeze ray. Your job is simple: kill him." This was a first. They were never sent on hit missions. "Permission to speak sir?" Parker asked. "Permission granted." Responded Chief. "Why is he being assassinated?" "He was providing us with our tech. He stopped and provided the Red Cloaks with tech. He isn't of any use to us." Parker nodded. "Dismissed."

The target was in a secluded area in the mountains, therefore they had to take a helicopter. Parker couldn't stop thinking about what Red told him. How could he have not seen it? Could he even trust the government now? They had lied from the beginning. It all made sense. But he couldn't tell anyone. The agency would put a price on his head. Then it would be meaningless. Had Red gotten himself arrested just to tell him? He didn't know. Suddenly a beam of white blue light shot at the tail of the helicopter. The helicopter started stalling. "Damn it!" The pilot yelled. 'Shit' Parker thought, 'he knew we were coming.' The chopper was going down. He started grabbing the parachutes and handing them to Darkrye, Suzy, and the pilot. "What about you?" Suzy yelled. Parker looked at her and smirked, "What about me?" He asked. "Hand me your parachute." She handed it to him and he put it on. "What now?" She asked. He ran. He grabbed Darkrye's harness and threw him off out the door. Still running, he grabbed Lisa with both arms and jumped out. She was screaming. Parker looked back at the helicopter.

The pilot was about to get out but another beam shot at the front. This time made of solid ice, piercing right through the pilot. Parker looked away. He couldn't save him. He opened the parachute. "Stop screaming! You're gonna be ok!" He yelled over the wind. She didn't hear him.

When they landed, they looked for Darkrye. They couldn't see him anywhere. Suddenly they looked up to see a dead parachuter. His parachute was stuck and he had been there so long you could see bone. "Is he dead?" Said Suzy. "It's me dumbasses. Let me down." Parker laughed as he climbed up to cut him down. "What about the pilot?" Suzy asked. Parker stopped cutting the parachute. "...I'm sure he's fine." Darkrye fell out of the tree once he was cut lose. Parker jumped down and helped him up. He brushed off his suit and started walking. "Come on. No time to waste."
