They walked through the woods for what felt like hours, when in reality, they must've been walking for maybe an hour. Andrew took over an old abandoned military base. Off the grid. Seclusive. Perfect for a mad scientist. Parker looked at Suzy. She looked worn out already. Her curly hair was a mess and her clothes were dirty. He turned around, put his hands in his pockets and started walking backwards looking at her.
"So how's your first mission going?" He said with a slight chuckle. She playfully scowled at him. "Stop walking backwards you weirdo. You know it freaks me out! You're gonna walk into something." She said to him. Parker faked a surprised face. "You? Worried about me? I've never heard of such a thing." They both laughed. Parker walked into a tree. They all laughed.

The sun was starting to set. This forest seemed endless. It was getting cold. Parker couldn't feel how cold it was but he could tell because Darkrye's bones were clattering and he could see Lucy was shaking. He sighed, took his jacket off, and gave it to her. She was surprised. "No it's ok really! You keep it." She said, holding her hands up. He laughed and stretched his arm out to her, jacket in hand. "Just take it ya dork. You'll die of hypothermia out here." He said smiling. She put on his jacket. "Hey what about me?" Darkrye's said, his whole body still clattering. Parker pointed at him, "You can't die remember?" He asked. "Oh yeah." Darkrye replied. They all laughed again.

It was late. How late? Parker didn't know. They landed pretty far from where the blast came from. But they finally saw it. They were waiting behind cover, Darkrye behind a tree, Parker behind a boulder, and Suzy behind a bush, thinking of a plan. "I say we just rush them!" Darkrye loudly whispered. "That might be too risky." Suzy said, biting her lip, deep in thought. "We have no idea the layout of the building or if there are guards or anything. I say we sneak in." Parker said. They all agreed that would be a good plan. They made their move.
The enterence was unfortunately being watched over by two guards. "I can take them out." Said Parker, looking at the two guards, "I have my silencer." He lifted and aimed his pistol. Two muffled shots rang out and this guards fell hard. "Let's go." Parker said, gesturing to the door. He was walking toward the door still crouching. So were Suzy and Darkrye. When they got up to the door, Parker saw that the door hand a handprint activated lock. He lifted one of the guys up and pressed his hand against it. It accepted it and the doors opened.
No guards in the hallways. Odd...Parker had expected this place to be crawling with them. They walked down the long hallway. At the end of it was an open doorway. On the other side of it were flashes of light. Really bright flashes of light. They're halfway through the hall before they hear a voice. They crouch down and walk along the wall. When they get to the door, Parker gestures for them to wait, they nod in response. He peeks in and hears the voice clearer. This was Andrew. It had to be. He was standing in front of a metal table. He was wearing a lab coat with a regular T-shirt underneath. He had on a metal ask, mostly assossiated with welding. There was a machine, looked like a gun, on the table. He was tweaking it with what he assumed was a blowtorch.
"Don't worry. Just have to make a few tweaks. Before they get here." He said. His voice was surprisingly kind and yet monotone at the same time. It sounded like he spoke in short sentences, or at least, ended his sentences too soon.
Darkrye was getting fed up with the stealth tactic. He'd never been one that liked to wait. "Let me go in there and rush him. I can take him!" Darkrye whispered to Parker. "No. We need to come up with a plan. He has some advanced tech in there. I'd hate to see how he uses it when he's startled." Parkered whispered back. Darkrye scoffed. "Then you stay here, I'm going in!" He said, running into the room. Suzy gasped. Parker cursed. "Hey you!" He yelled at Andrew. He stopped his tweaking. He turned around slowly with his hands in the air. "Oh. Hello." He said, taking off his welding mask and pulling down his goggles. Looking at him now he seemed like a tired man. He had almost spiky blackish grayish hair. He had a goatee, circles under his eyes, and looking closer, he had horrible posture. I've been. Waiting for you." He said slowly. Was this moron slow? Darkrye pulled out a desert eagle he had named "Slappy". He named all of his guns. He pointed it at Andrew. "Say goodnight." Cheesy he knew, but nothing else came to mind. Before he could pull the trigger, there was a swift kick to his chin.
He staggered back a bit. Had there been another guard? When he brought his head down, all he saw was Andrew with his leg lifted, hands in his coat pockets. "Please. If you're going to. Fight me. Don't hold back." He said with the speed of a sloth. How the hell was he so fast? Darkrye came running at him. Bad idea. Andrew just flipped him over his shoulder before he could react. Darkrye hit the ground and recovered quickly. He tried to leg sweep him but he jumped over it.
Darkrye had an idea. He jumped back and ran at him again. "You're pretty. Stupid. Aren't you?" He got ready to punch him. Darkrye dodged it, ran behind him and tried to leg sweep him again. This time it worked. As he fell, Darkrye punched him hard in his chest to the ground.
Darkrye stepped back, trying to see what he would do next. He just laid there. Unmoving. Had he killed him? Suddenly he started standing. He started walked toward Darkrye, digging in his pocket. Darkrye took a step back. This guy was unpredictable. He pulled a strange looking gun out of his pocket. Before Darkrye's could move, Andrew had shot a blast at his feet. The froze to the ground in a block of ice
"Huh. Look at. That. Even skeletons. Can freeze." He said looking at his feet, then back up at him. He then put the gun up to Darkrye's temple. "Bye." He said simply. He squeezed the trigger.
