After reading the note that Danny left for me I crumbled it and stuffed it into my pocket. I inched towards the end of the hallway as the voices echo louder throughout the front room. I overhear parts of their conversation.
"She is only here because-" Ren tries to explain.
"I don't care Ren get that human out of this house by sundown no exceptions!" A male voice yells
"Yes...father." Ren replies looking down at the floor.
Ren's father walks off towards the other side of the floor.
Ren breathes a sigh.
"What was that about? But it is not any of my business." I thought to myself.
I decide to walk over to the staircase as Ren starts coming up the stairs.
As we both walk the stairs we notice each other.
"Oh Kippy. I am glad to see you are up." Ren starts. "Are you feeling alright?" he asks.
"I'm fine just a bit hungry." I reply.
"What exactly did I do to hi-" I start to say as my train of thought starts being interrupted.
"Do you need me to make you something?" He asks.
"I'm fine I can get something at home." I reply. "Thanks, and I'm sorry if I did something that scared you at the party..." She tucks her hair behind her ears as she begins to say "...Truth be told... I don't remember why I even passed out in the first place." "I'm really scared right now." She pauses with a worried expression on her face.
Ren goes to pat her on the shoulder but stops remembering her pushing him down he blushes.
"You must have been over excited at the party." Ren suggests.
"I guess." I reply calming down.
He switches the conversation. "Let me make you something to eat before you go home."
"No thanks its fine." I refuse.
"Nonsense you MUST be starving, you have slept for half of the day." he insists.
"I'm not getting out of this am I?"
"I will show you to the kitchen follow me."
"Okay..."
