After reading the note that Danny left for her Kippy crumbled it and stuffed it into her pocket. Kippy inched towards the end of the hallway as the voices echoed louder throughout the front room. She overhears parts of their conversation.
"She is only here because-" Ren tries to explain.
"I don't care Ren get that human out of this house by sundown no exceptions!" A male voice yells.
"Yes...father." Ren replies looking down at the floor.
Ren's father walks off towards the other side of the room.
Ren breathes a sigh.
"What was that about? But it is not any of my business." Kippy thought to herself.
She decides to walk over to the staircase as Ren starts coming up the stairs.
As they both walk towards the stairs they notice each other.
"Oh Kippy. I am glad to see you are up." Ren starts. "Are you feeling alright?" he asks.
"I'm fine, just a bit hungry." She replies.
"What exactly did I do to hi-" Kippy starts to say as her train of thought starts being interrupted.
"Do you need me to make you something?" He asks.
"I'm fine I can get something at home." Kippy replies. "Thanks, and I'm sorry if I did something that scared you at the party..." She tucks her hair behind her ears as she begins to say "...Truth be told... I don't remember why I even passed out in the first place." "I'm really scared right now." She pauses with a worried expression on her face.
Ren goes to pat her on the shoulder but stops remembering her, pinning him down against the wall he blushes.
"You must have been over excited at the party." Ren suggests.
"I guess." She replies calming down.
He switches the conversation. "Let me make you something to eat before you go home." He insists.
"No thanks, it’s fine." She refuses flatly.
"Nonsense you MUST be starving; you have slept for half of the day." he insists.
"I'm not getting out of this am I?"
"I will show you to the kitchen and follow me." Ren turns towards the stairs again.
"Okay..." Kippy replies following him.
